This is a pretty nice cable. My shifter cables are go through a few sharp bends on the way from the shifter to the derailers, and the Hypers seem to handle those bends with the smallest amount of fuss.

These cables work great as replacements. The slickness from the factory is nice so that they slide through the housing nice and easy from the start.

Cheapest Campy cables around

I will NOT pay $9 for a campy shift cable. These are double ended, so they work for all 3 major brands.
HOWEVER, cutting off the superfluous end allws the cut end to fray. The cut end has to thread through the shifter, the ferrules, the housing etc and ONE TINY LITTLE FRAYED WIRE MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE to do right! Take my advice, put superglue on the last inch of the cable before the end you cut off. Let dry for a long time. Cut the cable in the glued section. This will help keep the end from fraying long enough to get it installed.

Pros: Options with the double end
Solid cable
Cheaper than OEM cable

Cons: Cutting the extra end leaves a frayed mess that will make it impossible to thread through the shifter and housing.

I tend to change my bars around a lot, so I'm always cutting new cables. As such, I don't want to spend a lot to get some premium cable, knowing I may change it later. Then again, I don't think it would perform any better, and I'm cheap, so why spend more?

Pros: cheap
works fine

Cons: can't brag on forums about your gore tex line super cables.

These are reliable cables. I've had problems in the past with cheaper cables breaking at the shifter after extended use, but not so with Jagwire. I get the road-bike specific model of these so that the end is pre-soldered, eliminating problems with fraying during installation.

It's a cable

These work well as replacement inner cables. I've only used them with SRAM levers/derailleurs. Tip for threading SRAM levers is to give the cable a bend to help it make the turn through the lever and up towards the cable housing.

My go to cables

These are my favorite cables. I have not experienced much improvement over these by using the teflon coated cables so these remain my favorite. Since I work on some long wheel base recumbents I like all the length options available.

Pros: Best value cable I have found.
Work better than galvanized cables and seem to work as well as teflon coated cables when replaced regularly.

Cons: None

It really makes a difference

I'm running this on a long wheelbase recumbent bike with bar-end shifters, so I've got a huge run between the shifters and the derailleur. This is about the only brand that comes in a the super long length that I needed
Once I got it installed and the initial stretch was taken out, it's been super solid.
Yea it costs a cpl bucks more than the galvanized fence wire they call 'cable' at the 'big-box' store, but believe me, this makes a difference. Depending on how much you ride, and your OCD Level you might replace your cables every year, or go years and years and not think of them. No matter what, you should treat the bike to the good stuff, it will make it happy.

Pros: Lots of lengths
Very stable once installed

Cons: Wish they included end crimps, but nobody does. Ask nice at your LBS, they will give you a couple

No difference from more expensive cables

I had the Ripcord kit prior to switching to these and I have notice no change in shifting. The teflon coating on the ripcord cables provided no value for the money while these did the same job for significantly less moolah.

Pros: Work as well as more expensive teflon-coated cables

Cons: Lack of dual sided ends means you have to buy 2, which I didn't realize until I got my shipment.
