Works the best so far. Well, Stans has the market cornered on this pretty much. I've heard there's a new Bontrager sealant which may give it a run for it's money but this does the job and washes out easily. Lasts long enough in the Pac NW and works when you need it. Pros: Cheap, fills the holes, seals easily. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: May 14, 2013 Reviewed by: Mark S., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Works exactly as descriped on the Stan's website. Be sure to review their website for full instructions for the best seal as quick as possible.
Have run on multiple tires including Michelin, Continential, and Specialized with no issues. Pros: Easy to use with syringe applicator. Cons: Makes a mess if the tire is not fully seated on bead, and ends up blowing off the rim. Great sealant, the gold standard Works great. Cleans up easy. Pros: This is the gold standard of tire sealants. Cons: None Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: April 19, 2013 Reviewed by: Robert C., Maryland Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Stans Works as claimed. I have found a couple of small holes in my front tire. Stans saved my ride. Pros: It flat out works Cons: None Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: April 14, 2013 Reviewed by: John, Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Great for sealing tires. No more risk of pinch flats. Pros: Quick and easy.
tire is a little quieter and seems to roll and grip just a little bit more. Cons: Will need to reapply sealant after several months depending on what type of riding you do but this is far better than replacing tubes. First time cleaning out and installing sealant! Had a local bike shop do my original tubless conversion. With Stan's sealant and injector, I won't be waiting and paying him again. Works, and better than Slime. I have used Stans in two situations. The first was with Stans own rim strips in WTB Speeddisc rims. The sealant was impressive. The second is in my current setup, where I am using them inside tubes. I first attempted to go tubeless with my rims (Mavic EN521), but there were two problems: the Slime Tubeless sealant I was using at the time refused to seal a bead leak, and the rims provided no retention for the tire beads. They were fine under pressure, but it would not have taken much to get them to unseat under normal cornering. So, I went back to tubes with Slime in them, since I was not willing to change my rims. The Slime worked only o.k., and when I pinch flatted it was a major mess. I decided to try Stans in my tubes, and there is no doubt the sealing abilities are simply superior. I have pinch flatted, and lost air, but Stans still held. Reinflating my tire was all that was needed. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 15, 2013 Reviewed by: Paul D. stans you gotta have it. if you aren't running tubeless than you truly are missing out on the performance. Stans works .bottom line. I went from daily flat repairs to one flat every season or two. In dry climates add more as required. for me its about two to three months for absolute protection. Pros: save two to four ounces of rotational weight. forget about flats. feel you're tires hook up Cons: can be messy during install with stubborn tires. you almost need to use a compressor. stans will eventually plug valve stems. Every Bit Helps I use this with the Q Tubes with the removable threaded stems, and the Stan's additional syringe which threads onto the steam. Makes it easy to fill 2ozs in a 700x32 tube. I would still get occasional flats with my old tires, but would find that the sealant had worked on a few flats that didn't stop me! Pros: Helps reduce flats from small punctures when used in a tube system. Cons: Not needed when using good flat protecting tires like Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tires. Love the stuff! I've been tubeless on my 29ers for 3 years now, and have wondered why it took me so long to get there. I've only used Stan's sealant for the job, and its worked wonderfully for me. Been raced, on huge backcountry rides, and have never let me down (unless I did something stupid.)
I'm sure I could make it for less, but I'm a fan of now messing with crap and just pulling out the bottle for what I need. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 02, 2013 Reviewed by: Nick S., Washington Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Makes holes disappear. I can't imagine I have anything new to say about Stans, it is the original and still the best. I have tried many of the other me-too products and have never had the success I have had with Stans. Awesome I've done a couple ghetto tubeless conversions and this is what I use for the innards. It works, and is fairly inexpensive and a lot more palatable that making a tubeless brew. Haven't had any flats at all. Pros: Works like it is supposed to- sealed all my tires right up and haven't had problems since. Cons: Now that I have several tubeless wheelsets, I'm going to be buying this on a yearly basis. Great system. Relatively easy to install. Pros: Lightweight, ability to run lower tire pressure. No flats from punctures. Stans Sealant THE sealant to use for sealing and protecting your tires from holes caused by thorns and what not. Pros: Easy to apply, highly effective and seals regular non-UST tires quite well. Cons: Liquid with clump and ball up and can be messy at times, especially when having to replace a tire with tube due to too big of hole for sealant to block. This stuff is awesome! Converted to tubeless using this as my sealant. Works very quickly, have pulled out goat heads (thorns) out of my tires and its just a matter of seconds before it seals. Pros: Works as advertised. Cons: You do have to change it out after several months but its well worth it. I use Stan's in my tubeless CX wheels and it works well for that purpose. I can't comment on its effectiveness at sealing punctures as I've never experience that. But, as far as preventing air loss and helping to seal the bead, it's worked great. I've used it w/ Hutchinson Bulldogs and Vittoria Cross XG Pro TNTs with great results. Get a syringe and valve stems with removable cores. Pros: Prevents air loss and seals the bead for tubeless applications Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 16, 2012 Reviewed by: Robbo, PDX Was this review Helpful? tried and true I have always used this sealant on my tubeless system and it works great. Sometimes I have noticed white liquid oozing from my tires and I know the sealant is doing its job. The fluid will eventually dry up so it will need to be refilled periodically. If you shake the tire and listen you'll be able to guage how much liquid is still in the tire. Occasionally you should break the seal of the bead of your tire and remove the dried latex bird's nest. Pros: works great Cons: dries up so a periodic refill and/or cleaning is needed

I tried the latex and it balled up in the bead and the tire rolled
I tried the schwalbe, seemed fine, hard to find more
Stan's hasn't destroyed the conti's I rides and it has sealed when it was needed to seal (texas trip and cacti got me)
Pros: TUBELESS is the only way! Cons: I just dislike stans over their 'tubeless' rims needing tape.
I don't buy anything from stans other than this bottle of goo Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: August 15, 2012 Reviewed by: aaron s., Illinois Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Stans sealant works great! Last ride out it sealed multiple cactus thorn punctures and I didn't even notice until after the ride! I have noticed it doesn't seem to dry up too fast for me, but when I am running low I just add a bit more! Never have I had a problem with Stans failing to seal tires or seal small punctures. Works great at mtb pressures, but I haven't had much luck sealing tires at 40+ psi and have never tried it for road tires! Pros: Seals up small punctures no problem and seals up my TLR tires without issue! Cons: Seems to just squirt out of the tire at higher pressures. Surprisingly fast sealer I have previously used a different sealant and used their own branded sealant filled tubes, but it particulary never really worked.
This one seals extremely fast, even in non tubeless ready tires!
Complaint? Price... and it does not last very long Pros: - extremely quick acting sealant
Cons: - it coagulates after some days/weeks in extreme hot conditions.
- So far every 2 weeks I need to pour a scoop of sealant in my tires. It just goes that fast, which is annoying, is hard to find around here and is pricey
I´d give it 5 stars, I´ll give it 3 on these 2. price and durability. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: June 30, 2012 Reviewed by: Cesar M., International Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Works real well to seal both UST and non (ghetto) as well as permanently seal thorn punctures (don't ask me how I know this). Have to maintain level tho (dries out). Pros: Seals great!
