Oury Grips

Been using these grips exclusively for almost 10 years. I would not recommend anything else. I have done plenty of full day rides (up to 100 miles) without gloves, and my hands grip perfectly the entire time. Once they are seated to your bars, they will not slip or twist at all.

Pros: Stay in place, grip well to hands and bars.


Cons: Last about 1 year, and without plugs in the end of the bar, they bar will tear a circle hole in them quickly.

The original mtb grip! What can be said about them, they're squishy, rarely wear out, and I've put them on probably a half dozen setups I've used over the years.

Best MTB grips ever.

Hard to beat these for value or cushion. I've been using them for over 15 years and have no plans to switch anytime soon.

Comfy!

I have used Oury grips off and on for years. I keep thinking there is something better out there, but I keep coming back. If you can get them to stick, they are great.

Pros: Super comfy.

Cons: Won't always stick.

Oury grips

These are the best grips PERIOD! I have them on all my bikes. Super soft and cushy and grippy! You have to make sure your bars are clean BEFORE you install them and they wont move. Use rubbing alcohol. I use an air compressor to install them

Oury Rubber Grip

I had such a hard time getting this on that I gave up and bought a different grip that was lock-on.

Pros: No idea, never got them on.

Cons: Super tough to get on with the aid of an air compressor.

Squishy

Other rigid mtb riders love ouries, so I figured I ought to as well. And I mostly kinda do.

They are a wide diameter grip- a plus in my opinion. But too squishy, and deforms under the hands. And because of this, water gets in and the grips start rotating....

I like them on a commuter.

Pros: Squishy, cheap, large diameter. Durable.

Cons: Will slip, deforms too much.

Classic and comfortable

Love these. Stuffed a white pair onto a Soma Sparrow bar and they fit lovely. They're pretty snug - I had to use hairspray to get them on, and they took forever to dry out not twist - but once everything dried - they're awesome.

The white ones do get dirty pretty quick, it's possible the other colors do, as well, but I picked white for a reason - to match other components, and I like the dirty look. So just bear that in mind - the rubber does hold grease pretty well. Otherwise, amazing grips.

these are nice and squishy. that takes the pain out of a small front tire. they are also flexible, so they bend down my short risers.

make sure you let the water you put in them (to get them on) dry completely!!! they can slip off your bars if you ride them the same day you put them on. rainstorms can also help water in, though i've never actually had one of these come off just from the rain.

Pros: plush. flexible for short bars.

Cons: very slippery when wet

I've used Oury grips, both the standard and lock ring versions for several years. They're durable, comfortable, affordable, and look nice too.

The go to grip if you have big hands, also they are super soft so pair with a carbon bar and you are in hand heaven. Oh and if you like colors they have the rainbow plus more

Oury Grips

Perfect grip for your fixed gear bike dut can be hard to install without making a cut or puncture at the end to allow air. I like using hair spray to secure the grips in place. Very comfortable and tacky.

Pros: Awesome when they're dry (4.5 out of 5 if rating them dry). Tacky, and soft enough to make them super comfortable.

Cons: Terrible when wet (1 out of 5). Technical downhill sections become way scarier. Also, first time these hit a rock or tree too hard, the ends will tear. Can be diffacult to install.

Basic, can be cut to size

I was surprised how difficult it was to get these on. I read online to use Windex as a lubricant. But despite the trouble they seems to slip easily.
The main reason I got this was to go with a grip shifter, so I needed a shorter grip on that side. It was easy to cut to the size I needed, with large scissors.

Pros: Comes in a choice of colors.
Easy to cut to size.

Cons: Not too comfy for long rides.
Slips easily

These are great grips at a good price. I've never noticed my hands slipping off them in any conditions. They have just the right level of softness to be comfortable. They are relatively large diameter and fit my big hands well.
Potential cons are that they are a little harder to remove than lock-ons (try squirting air under them with a compressor). The ends tend to get chewed up in crashes whereas lock ons are better protected with the hard end caps.

Pros: Comfortable, grippy, large diameter, good price

Cons: Harder to remove, ends can get damaged in crashes

My Favorite Grips Ever

This is probably the 8th pair of Oury grips that I've purchased. You simply cannot beat the price and/or comfort. They are soft but not too soft.

The way to go for flat bar grips

Oury grips look very good on bars that don't use grip tape. I've put these on several different bike builds and had several different colors. You really can't go wrong with these; they're stylish, durable, and will keep your hands where they need to be. Glow in the dark is the coolest option.... just saying.

Buy for Color, Keep for Comfort

I bought these for my wife's bike for the color. I've never used them, but I've heard good things. She loves them and she rides without gloves, so that's saying something.

What can you really say about these? They're decently priced, they look cool, feel great, and stay on well. The lighter colors tend to get grimy quicker than the darker ones, but they last forever. When you put em on it's good to use some hairspray so they grip really well to the bar when the hairspray dries.

Pros: look good, feel great

Cons: lighter ones get grimy quick

These things are cushy!!! It's like a pillow for your hands. Good grip, nice feel...

They do take a bit to dry onto your bars though... I was using some Nitto risers with these grips, and sometimes had a hard time getting them to stick... Maybe I needed to try some different adhesives. Who knows... But once I got them to grip, they were great!
