The standard.

Brass nipples won't corrode, and are much more resistant to rounding off than aluminum. Great for high spoke tension, especially drive side rear, MTB or road winter wheels, any wheels where durability is a concern. DT spokes and nipples are the standard for quality.

Pros: Finish.
Durability.
Strength.
Low cost.

Cons: Weighs ~3x more than Al nipples.
