Favorite ODI grip

Pros: best grip for when it matters

Cons: Durability of grip material only lasts about 500 miles before bumps start to wear off

When I first received these grips I thought they would be too firm and not cushioned enough for me. What I have found is that the texture holds my glove so well that I ride with a lighter grip, my hands are more relaxed and I have no issue with the density. Additionally, they never slip on the bar.

Pros: Grippy texture, never slips or spins on the bar, integrates with the LEV dropper post remote.

bought these to replace the stock grips on my girlfriends SJ.

Slim Grips really are cool

A buddy commented on my old Rogue grips, saying they were so big. I had never considered it until then, but these slimmer grips really are nicer. The ODI clamps are their usual greatness.

Great Product! Lock-on grips are the way to go, unless you are gram counting. People with bigger hands might want to look at a different grip. These are small in diameter!

Decent but not enough padding.

These grips installed easily and I like the fact that they lock on both ends. They are fine for shorter rides but the lack of padding is noticeably on longer rides. They are also a bit slippery when wet.

Pros: Easy install.
Light.

Cons: Not enough padding.
Could have better grip.

Ruffian MTB Grips

I've used these grips on mountain bikes and flat bar cx bikes. They have a small diameter and tacky feel that gives you a good connection with the bike.

Pros: Great feel, good rubber and the lock rings never slip

Cons: Could use a little more cushion on the long long rides.

Excellent Grip for those that don't like padding

I tried these after running the Rouge grips for years. The grip is great and they last as long as the Rouges for me. I don't run the Rouges down to the bare plastic. The lock on clamps make installation and removal a breeze.

After using these for an entire season, I've decided I like to have some cushion in my grips. I'm going back to the Rouges.

Great grip for geared, suspension bikes. Not too bulky, plenty of grip in the wet and dry. (Rogues for the rigid SS.)Totally dependable fitment with the lock rings. Only 4 starts because of the bolts which rust easily, would be 4.5 but no rating option for that.

Cons: Stainless bolts could be good as the stock ones rust and seem to be an unusual thread. Haven't found a stainless bolt to match the ODI bolt thread?

ODI Ruffian Lock-On Grips

Awesome grips if you have smaller hands or like thin grips.

Pros: Does what it's supposed to locks and does not move.
They last a long time especially if your rotate them once the top wears down.
Perfect for smaller hands or for those who like thin grips, ODI also makes the rogue which is a thicker grip.

In my opinion the Ruffian grips offer the best diameter out there - not too fat and not too skinny. Everyone has different hands but just take note these are a good balance. I used the rogues for a while but came back to the ruffians - matter of preference really. The ODI lock-on system just works, I've never had a problem with stripping bolts or slipping grips.

Can't be beat for the price

These are great grips. The installation is a snap, and the lock-on is very effective. my kids are hard on their bikes, as I was when I was a kid, but they can't bust these grips.

Excellent low-profile grips

I love the ease of installation associated with Lock-on grips, and ODI's clamp system is especially effective.

The Ruffian grip in particular is great because it offers an extremely grippy surface without adding a whole lot of bulky cushioning. If cushioning is your thing, go with the rogue's or another fatter grip. I myself ride the ruffians with complete comfort, and I appreciate feeling more connected to the bike.

The Ruffians are my favorite lock on non ergonomic grips for riders with smaller hands. Those with larger hands or those who like a thicker more cushioned grip will probably prefer the Rogues.

Pros: Great grips that stay put yet are easy to remove.
Nice for smaller hands or those that prefer a smaller grip diameter.
Easy to find individual replacement parts.
Available in colors (130mm size only though)

Cons: Not the best for those who like thick grips or who have larger hands.
Not available in colors in the 90mm size. I am taking a star for that since they offer colors in the 130mm size.

These are the original lock on grip as I believe ODI holds the patent. There is really nothing to fault on them. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade if you find your grips slipping,etc.

Pros: last a long time, thinner than some (is a preference)

best grips ever!!!!!!!!!

These are my favorite grips ever!!!! they are easy to take on and off because of the locks, they last long and don't get all melty/sticky in the heat. I'm not a fan of the new snap style end caps so I would recommend some better bar ends with them. But still a 5 star product.

Favorite grip

These are great grips. Lightweight for lock ons. They stay in place and don't move a bit, especially compared to regular grips. They feel great in gloved or ungloved hands.

Pros: Light, rock solid, and versatile

Cons: Diamond pattern on grip wears out after about a year of use. Not really a problem w/ gloves but ungloved hands will slip a bit.

Good grips for small hands

Typical quality ODI grips offer great grip onto the bars. Because the diameter of these is on the smaller side, they are more suited to smaller hands - perfect for the female riders in our group! For my large hands, I prefer the ODI Rogue or the Oury lock-ons. Also, the small diameter and thin size generally means that these grips will wear down to the rigid plastic faster than ODI's larger diameter models.

Pros: Lock-on, good grip, many colors available, fit small hands well

Cons: Not great for large hands
