Chain Tugs keep the hub in place when used with horizintal dropouts
- Axle tensioners for horizontal dropout frames, keyed to fit into dropout
- Mech Hanger version has a derailleur hanger and includes a non-drive side tug.
- 10mm version is keyed for 10mm dropouts with 10mm axle hole
- Fits: N/A/10mm axles
- Color: Black
- Intended Use: Single Speed
- Unit of Sale: Pair
These tugs are great for using a quick release hub in a singlespeed frame because the tabs reach deep enough to secure the end of the hub axle and not just the QR skewer like some brands. The hardware feels solid and has worked well so far with no slipping.
As noted by others you can't run your hub close to the front of the track end without modifying the front tab

Yes No Report as InappropriateLike others I used a hack saw to remove the front tab that slides into the drop out. Now I am able to get full range in the drop from slammed to the end. Besides the modification they have worked great. Are on my commuter after 1400 miles and still going without the wheel ever slipping
Pros: Keep axle in place
Cons: Will have to remove front tab to get the axle slammed in the drop out

Yes No Report as Inappropriate Pretty good. A little pricey for what they are. They work and install fine.
One issue to be aware of. If you run the hub bolts near or flush with the front of the dropout, these won't work. The internal groove runs the whole length of the washer and is almost square at the end. If your frame has rounded dropouts you will need to set the axle back at least 1/2" from the front of the dropout. Or about 1/4" if it's squared.

Yes No Report as InappropriateWorked on my Black Market Riot
Had to cut off/file the front of the tab that fits in the dropout slot to slam my wheel. But after that, one tug on the drive side keeps my axle from slipping. Looks clean. Perfect.
Pros: No wheel slippage.
Cons: Needed modified to work on short dropouts.
