Great design. I know some people hate it but it's always worked great for me. Easy to adjust and stays where you put it.

Simple Install and Works Great!

This hardware is a must-have when using the 185mm Avid adapter. The offset lengths of the posts require an angle install and without these spherical washers, the system won't fit. Everything fits well and the system bolted right up without issue.

Pros: Tight tolerances; stainless

I ordered the hardware kit for the 185mm rotor. It comes with everything you need to mount the caliper, less bracket. It's always nice to mount a caliper with new CPS washers! makes everything go much more smoothly. Plus the bolts aren't all rusty! It did take me a couple trys, as I had installed the shorter bolt on the top, the longer one would bottom out in my fork, oops... Not a fault of the kit, it's mine!

Pros: Clean, looks good, ease of adjustment

nice fasteners

they work as they were intended--attaching the most important component on your bike: your brakes.

Does the job as expected, I like the look of the silver stainless bolts better than the standard steel black bolts!

I have sut up Maguras, Shimanos, Hayes and Avids, and the Avids are the easiest ones to set. Nice to know there is a Ti version.

Serviceable

My use for these was to fine-tune the caliper placement for my Formula brakes on a post-mount fork.

The amount of adjustment they provided was less than if I had just used several thinner washers, but presumably they kept the alignment of the bolts straighter due to the curvy washers.

Pros: Curvy cup-in-bowl washers keep the bolts aligned straight.

Cons: Don't look for precision metal working here -- they are crudely formed.

I lost the bolts to a set of Avid Hydros as I was moving them from one of my bikes to my wife's. I'm pretty sure that I could have run to the local hardware store and picked up exactly what I needed, but it was nice to know for sure what I needed to pick up. (and, since they're on my wife's bike, I feel better knowing that her brakes have exactly what they should.)
Also might be needed if you switch forks, especially if you're running larger rotors and now have a post mount.
