Continental Quality I really like the quality of Continental products. I matched these tubes up with a Continental Contact 700x37c tire for my multi-purpose bike. Pros: Quality manufacturing. Cons: Threaded valve stems. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 21, 2012 Reviewed by: Flying-On-Steel, Missouri Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
People will tell you that all tubes are made in the same factory in Taiwan. That's not true. As soon as you take these out of the box you see the difference between these and a generic tube.
The rubber feels supple, and the seamless construction inspires confidence. I don't know if that actually makes a measureable difference, but it makes me feel good about the tube. It's probably just coincidence, but I have had a flat yet since switching to these tubes.
They also come with yellow valve caps, which happen to mesh well with the color scheme of my bike. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: July 17, 2012 Reviewed by: Andy, Beaverton, OR Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
We're tired of lighter tubes getting pinched or punctured. These tubes have been dependable since we've switched. Simple and effective, and the slight weight difference is only in our mind.
Getting valve length to match rim depth is probably the biggest concern. Pros: Effective, good longevity. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: June 17, 2012 Reviewed by: Wesley W., Washington Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
One of the best tube on the market. Very easy to repair. Well worth the extra cost. Pros: seamless, replaceable valve core. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 30, 2012 Reviewed by: Robert E., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Continental tires and tubes are just what I like (I also like michelin tubes). These are no exception. Nice price, durable quality. I buy these anytime I'm getting low and really like that I can get the really long valves for deeper rims Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: March 16, 2012 Reviewed by: Kasey D., Texas Was this review Helpful? I have used a range of tires, and these seem to be the most reliable, best priced, and best riding of the tires I have used. Pros: Reliable, not too expensive. Cons: All tires flat eventually, no matter who makes them...! Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: February 26, 2012 Reviewed by: Michael M. Was this review Helpful? A tube is not a tube I only buy Continental tubes - they are definitely better quality than others I've tried.
I've never had a valve stem rip on a Conti, but I've ruined many of other brands that way. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 13, 2012 Reviewed by: Joshua T., Virginia Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
the best thing about these tubes is how easy they mount. they have a profile that seems to effectively work against pinching ...sort of a flat oval, so that when they are deflated, they 'fold' into the rim, protecting against pinching with a tire tool.
inflate slightly to get most of the tube in, and then deflate to put the remainder in.
they seem very sturdy, but i don't have very many miles on them yet...i'm using them with panaracer 32c/35c tires.
so far, so good. Pros: easy to mount, very sturdy, seem decent quality, very good value Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 13, 2011 Reviewed by: Jeff P., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
I've run these tubes on a lot of my bikes, and I've also run the "Q" tubes, and I've never had a problem with either brand. When I need tubes, I'll get whichever is cheaper between the Conti's and Q's and run them with confidence. Good lightweight tube. No problems thus far. Pros: Good price, lightweight. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: June 13, 2011 Reviewed by: Kevin B., Maryland Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Best tubes period Every other tube has to be compared to this, so far I have found none better. Best valves, best rubber thickness to weight combination that keeps the air in. When you do get a puncture it excepts patches easily. Pros: Best tube out there while not being too expensive. Cons: None Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: May 20, 2011 Reviewed by: Shannon W., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
While the Conti tubes seems to be thicker and more durable than other tubes I have used, I find it harder to patch these tubes. The outside feels slicker than other tubes, so some of my patches fail on these tubes.
I liked these tubes at first, but finding out that they don't take to patches as well has put a damper on my enthusiasm for them (I pinch flat a lot on my cross bike). Still above average tubes, but not the absolute best or anything.
Oh, they also fold up nicely when deflated. Reviewed on: March 30, 2011 Reviewed by: Kenneth, California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Pretty thin cheap tubes. Not the worst I have gotten but I probably won't ever buy them again. Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: No Reviewed on: March 22, 2011 Reviewed by: Josh L., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Solid Choice I've run the conti tubes and have had good success on 26", 20" and 700 tires. Pinch flatted a few tires through the cross season, but that was par for the course. my preferred tubes these are the only tubes I use if I can help it. they seem to last longer and hold up better than other brands. if you want a good, quality standard tube, this is it. Its a tube! Solid tube, works as advertised. Spend a bit more for the brand name, they are usually worth it.... Pros: Solid, trustworthy Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: December 01, 2010 Reviewed by: Brian C., Arizona Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Another tube review Good construction, decent price, it's a butyl tube. I don't think they last longer or less than any other tube. I've had a number of these and they seem to hold up OK. Splurged on these for a recent build. So far they have held up well. My only complaint so far has been that the presta valve unscrews when you are opening the valve to fill with air. I tweaked them down with some needle nose pliers and all has been good since. Pros: High quality Cons: More expensive than most, presta valve unscrews from valve core sometimes Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 01, 2010 Reviewed by: Rob, Kentucky Was this review Helpful? tube issues Have had trouble with the generics and am testing out name brands to see if they have better quality.
