Cinelli Cork Bar Tape

I love the feel of Cinelli cork. Comfortable with or without gloves. As others have mentioned the length supplied always seems to be on the short end.

Pros: Thick but not too thick.

Cons: Needs to be longer.

Feels good and wears well

I like the feel of Cinelli tape, although it is not as strong as some others, has less adhesive and the bar end caps are of marginal quality. I still find myself returning to it. Be careful and not pull too hard when installing, because it rips easily.

Bought the black cork tape to replace some dirty white tape. So far, it feels great. Great price and looks like it will last a while.

As long as you don't go crazy with overstretching, it will mount up perfectly and give you thousands of miles of usefulness.

sticky tape

I really dislike this and all other sticky tapes. Wrapped correctly, tape very rarely unravels. The sticky back is messy and leaves crud all over your bars. It makes installation and removal annoying. gross gross gross. I greatly prefer tape with non adhesive backing, which always gets shredded to bits and caked with junk before it unravels.

Cons: stupid adhesive backing makes the world a terrible place

Squishy

Your classic cork tape with cinelli logos. great price, not my favorite tape in the world because of how thick it feels, but if you ride without gloves this is a good economy tape

Good Tape

I was a little skeptical of the grip of this tape when I got it over other brands but have come out really liking it. Its got great grip and really nice cushion for long rides. Additionally it seems to stay pretty clean, and rinse off with soap and water really well.

Pros: Low cost
awesome colors
great grip
good cushion

This is an excellent bar tape at a reasonable price and comes in a wide variety of colors and styles. I use it on all of my bikes.

Classic look, comfy

It feels nice on long rides, and comes in a wide variety of colors.
The white looks very nice, and cork flecks keep the inevitable stains from standing out too much

I like this tape. Seems to give me a good mixture of cushion and firmness.

Cons: Wears faster than I would like it to. After a few years it is worn thorugh

Every time I've used another bar tape (PRO, Profile, Fizik, etc.) I've ended up regretting it and wishing I'd used Cinelli cork. I don't know what it is about this stuff, but tape by others brands (even their cork tape) doesn't feel as good, doesn't seem to go on the bars as well, or doesn't hold up as well as the Cinelli. Want more cushion? Skip the gel inserts and just double-wrap with this tape. Downsides? The lighter colors can start looking dirty pretty quick, especially if you ride/train in foul weather.

Really not a whole lot to say

I've used this tape for 10 years on 3 different road bikes. It's thick and durable. When you're wearing Gloves, it grips to them well. When you're not, it's comfortable to hold on to. I've tried a couple of other brands, but they didn't seem to hold up like the good 'ole cork.



Pros: lots of colors
lasts 2 solid seasons of riding
comfortable
durable

Cons: I use 44cm handlebars, so It's a stretch to get them to make it all the wya up the bar. It'd be nice if they made a an extended length version.

Beware, the white gets pretty gnarly looking fast, and I haven't figured out how to clean it. I'm only using it because I'm a total slave to fashion, and will probably have to replace the tape sooner than I would if I stuck to Black or red.

There is no need for other tape.

i've gone back and forth from deda and pro tape and always come back to the cinelli cork stuff. it looks clean on a a good bike and fancies up a regular beater. best bar feel of any of the tapes i've tried. not so padded so you can feel the bar better. you're gloves are padded, why do you need another pair of super pads on your bar?

Pros: bar feel, looks, price

Cons: not the most durable, gets dirty fairly fast

More or less the standard for grip tape. Comes in lots of colours. Not too thick, not too thin (although if you like a little more comfort, Octto tape is better)

I really enjoy the Cinelli Bar Tape because I find it just a little more supportive than other tapes, might just be all in my head. The colours are good & it lasts very long. Easy to install at a reasonable price.

I only use Cinelli

I don't know. Call me a traditionalist, but I have used Cinelli Cork Bar Tape on every bike that I have owned since 1985. It is comfortable, farily easy to install, and lasts a pretty long time. It is very pliable and easy to install around the brake hoods. It's also pretty easy to clean.

Cinelle Cork Tape

One of the best Cork Tapes. I tried Deda and love some of their colors but they are too short.

Pros: Easily installed, longer than needed.

Cons: "Only" lasts about 5,000 miles.

This is my favorite bar tape. Some tape gets abrasive, other tape can be fragile to the point it tears easily when you're installing it. But with the Cinelli tape I've never had a problem, from the time I install it to the time I go on 60+ mile rides. Also, there's a great color selection that can match just about any build.

Pros: Tough, yet comfy, even on long rides.

Cons: None. Really can't complain.

I have used this cork tape on 2 of my classic road bikes for years now and generally I like this tape. The cork has a good feel to it and it looks great. Installation was good, however it can tear if if too much pressure is applied, but once installed it seems to be holding up well.
