These knee warmers seem like a great idea, but for me they never stay up for more than a few minutes. Inevitably they will end up sagging down off my thigh an from there they drive me crazy. Material and quality seem nice, but they just don't work for me. Pros: Nice quality and good material. Cons: Won't stay up on my thigh and always slip down. Could just be my body type though. Fabric Like Warmers I like these knee warmers. Very different than the normal Lycra, Goretex, or wool types. These look porous, but actual work well to keep warm. i like the thinner fabric on the rear to keep them cool, while the thicker in the front blocks the wind. No issues staying warm. They breathe OK, but definitely too warm for moderate days. Pros: DeFeet, warm, dual fabric thickness, rear breathability. Cons: No silicone grippers, weak elastic at top makes them hard to stay up. Works great as the temps drop. Stays in place. Cover the shins well. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 16, 2010 Reviewed by: Pat C., Washington Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
I have the wool version of these and they are my favorite cold weather warmers. They're really long and stay up on the leg very well (unlike Defeet's arm warmers), but do make a bit of an indentation where they stop.
My skin is sensitive to itchy materials, but I've never had a problem with these.
These are really warm and good in wet weather cause they're wool. Pros: warm, soft and long. stays in place too. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 19, 2010 Reviewed by: paul a., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
I am wearing these right now, as I type this. While slightly itchier than the more expensive IBEX equivalent, they perform in the same, magical wooly way. They keep your knees warm without keeping them too warm, they work wet, they wick sweat. These are an essential part of a modular fall/winter commuting kit. Pros: wool, warm, a good value Cons: slightly itchier than super high-end wool Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 01, 2010 Reviewed by: Dan!, Oregon Was this review Helpful? Great knee warmers! I've had these for a couple of years now and they show no signs of wear or tear. Great for morning commutes when pants are overkill but shorts aren't enough. Surprisingly warm! Looser knit fabric on the back keeps you from cooking in them. Easy enough to pack for late nights out. Pros: Lightweight, very effective, durable, packable, discreet. Cons: None Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: September 17, 2010 Reviewed by: SAW, Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
