great tool very precision and easy to spin using long blade, then torque bolt with short end Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 14, 2013 Reviewed by: Lou H., Pennsylvania Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate

Another great tool from Park I have these wrenches in my track bag out at the Velodrome. They allow for fast gear changes because you can twist the long end and install or remove chainring bolts very fast. The long end also provides great leverage when tightening axle bolts. Pros: Well made, provides good leverage when loosening or tightening bolts. Park Tool makes very high quality tools, and my 8mm hex with a bondhus end is no exception. The ends don't round, and they're not loose in bolts. Yeah, Park Tool tools aren't cheap, but I wouldn't buy cheap tools. Though for the record, I've also had good luck with Sette Tools. Pros: High quality metal
High tolerances Cons: Not cheap, but doesn't matter as the increased cost is worth one ruined bolt. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 15, 2011 Reviewed by: Erik K., Colorado Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Quality This is the only tools I will use on my bolts. Great grip and that ball thingie that allows for off-angle access Pros: grip, torque, quality Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: August 22, 2011 Reviewed by: Adam U., Texas Was this review Helpful? Because of it's length, it allows to do a high torque, which helps to remove bolts easily than using a shorter wrench.
It seems really high quality. Pros: Ball end, high quality, easy to use and allows to do a high torque. Cons: None so far Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: August 17, 2011 Reviewed by: Andres , Oregon Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
I bought a few of these individual hex wrenches to use for bolts that require alot of torque like crank bolts. The length makes it alot easier to both tighten down and unscrew bolts like these and will save your hands and knuckles alot of agony. You will also strip less bolts and get bolts down to the required torque alot easier which can save your cranks in the long run. I had used shorter wrenches that were part of a set and got a crank bolt as tight as I could and the guy at the shop used one of these and easily turned it at least a full revolution tighter. With some cranks, that could mean ruining your cranks and costing you alot of money. Pros: Length makes it easy to get enough torque in certain applications like crank bolts, puts less stress on hands and saves your knuckles from scraping Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 03, 2011 Reviewed by: David R., Pennsylvania Was this review Helpful? Love the ball end on these wrenches. It's very helpful when trying to get at a tough angle. And when using the other end, you can get a lot of leverage, like for pedals, etc. Wish I bought the whole set. Pros: ball end, sturdy, looks classy in the garage Cons: wish I bought the whole set! Park P handle hex wrenches Hex wrenches (Allen keys) are probably the most widely used bicycle tool of them all, and boy have I used a few. The only one certain thing about them is this: everybody will tell you they like a different kind! Personally, I like to have different types and choose the correct one for the job. Park make a pretty good all rounder or as close to an 'all rounder' as you can probably get. The general idea being that the long end with the ball head is for screwing and unscrewing bolts quickly and conveniently, but not for tightening or undoing them. The reverse goes for the other end, which offers more leverage and more respect for the fasteners, but less speed. These are well made shop quality tools, with convenient handles. Technically, Park's other variety (with sninners and no handles) cover more situations better, but they just aren't as nice for most use. Buy all varieties. If you have none, the Park P handle's are the best ones to start with. Available separately, which is good. A definite recommendation! Pros: High quality, Functional, Available separately, Reasonably priced for what they are. Cons: No hex wrench will do everything, buy a range.
