Excellent tool. I spend some time work a manual caliper, not sure why. The digital was excellent and paid for itself shortly while I was gauging sizes of ceramic hybrid bearings that didn't seem to fit. The tolerances where challenging, and required the 'one part in the freezer, the other in hot water' method to insert. This caliper allowed us to see when the parts where close enough to allow assembly. Great multi-use tool, and for that price, I'm surprised it works so well. Pros: Reasonably priced, very accurate. Works Mine came with a dead battery, so I went to the store and got two. The buttons are very easy to press. Pros: Works. Comes with a good carrying case. Batteries are cheap for it. Cons: Came with a dead battery. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: August 21, 2011 Reviewed by: Timothy C., Colorado Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Multiple Applications There are more expensive calibers out there but this one if fine for home use. It comes in a nice, hard-shell case with a spare battery which you'll need, due to what seems like high battery wear, even with auto shut-off. I found the display to be very legible, provided the battery is fresh. It's very accurate, and the knurled knob does a good job of locking it in place.
I find myself using this around the house often, not just on the bikes. Pros: Use it for many household projects - not just on the bike.
Accurate.
Well designed, feels "solid" in the hand.
Hard shell, foam-lined storage case included. Cons: Seems to drain battery quickly. Maybe turning itself on in the case as it moves about in my toolbox? Park Digital Caliper Excellent for measuring hub flange dimensions for spoke length calculations, handle bar/stem dimmensions and I even used it to measure the back of my seat for width to make sure I purchased a replacement seat for likeness Pros: Was able to get my jobs done but nothing overly exceptional. Cons: LED screen not bright enough. Touch sensitivity causes changes in reading so more that 3-4 readings is good advise. Because the LED display isn't very bright, it's hard to see if it's mm's or inches. Nice Digital Measuring Device This is a solid set of digital calipers. I really like the metric, english decimal and fractional decimal display options. The battery does tend to come loose in the holder but it's not a big deal. As a side bouns, I used these to teach my son decimals and fractions and how to measure. Pros: Does what it is designed to do. Multiple display options are nice. Cons: Battery can get loose in the holder.
