Good tool for a slop free job

This is worth the money to get all of your measured tire sealant into your tire on the first try w/o a mess or the hassle of trying to seat your tire with a pool of sealant rolling around ing it.

Pros: Simple, effective, clean.

Cons: None so far.

This is the way to get the sealant into the tire. With this and a valve with a removable core setting up tubeless tires is super easy. Definitely worthwhile when dealing with tubeless tires.

Stans Syringe

Essential to have when adding sealant without having to remove tire from rim, just remove valve core, screw on, add sealant and plunge through.

Pros: Easy to apply sealant without the mess, allows for not having to remove tire from rim, easy to clean after use.

Cons: none, other than you have to clean with water after each use or sealant with dry in syringe and not work as well

makes refills easy

Great tool for refilling your sealant without having to remove your tire. I still break the seal of my tires every once in a while to clean out the inside. The latex in Stan's sealant tends to clump up after while and you end up with this huge latex bird's nest inside your tire.

Pros: refill your sealant without having to remove the tire

The syringe is extremely useful as it allows you to add more goop without taking the tire off the rim. Simply unscrew the valve core, screw the syringe on, and add goop.

Pros: Makes life easier.

Cons: None.

SO much easier and cleaner than using the measuring cup method. When you use this injector you won't spill a drop.

Perfect measurement every time. Remove valve stem, screw on the injector, inject measured amount into tire, put valve stem back in and you're done. Rinse off the injector and put back in the tool box.

Does the measuring cup work? Yes, but this injector is much more convenient.

Great way to get sealant in your tires

This works great to get sealant in your tires as long as you can remove your valve cores. It will not work if you have for example, Shimano valve stems without removable valve cores.

Pros: Easy way to get sealant in your tires

Cons: Doesn't work with valves stems with non removable cores

This injector works great with Stans sealant.
Easily injects a measured amount of sealant into tire through the vavle stem.

Pros: Can be used on either presta or schrader valves.
Marks on side to measure amount of sealant.

Cons: Includes valve stem remover for schrader vavles, but not presta valves.

Must Have

THis thing changed my life... Saves all the hassle and mess of taking your tire off the rim to pour the stans in from the side... Allows for a quick and easy way to add just a little bit of stans when your tire is burping air... Just make sure that your valve stems are removable, or else you wont be able to push the stans through the stem.

if you run a stan's no tubes system, get yourself some valves with removable cores and this here syringe. you can measure your goop with the syringe itself so you know ho much you're injecting. easy to use and easy to clean.

Pros: all

Cons: a little awkward screwing the syringe tip to valve.

Beware blocked valves

The idea sounds awesome, but in application I learned 2 important things:

1. It's of minimal benefit for use when you're starting out to convert the wheel/tire and is really mainly of use on subsequent applications when you're topping up.

More importantly for me is the next point:
2. I used it on 4 wheels. On 2 of the 4 the injection of the sealant through the valve stem caused the stem to clog up solid. The first time it happened I had no idea what was happening except I was getting back pressure. I kept on pushing and the syringe separated from the tube blasting sealant all over my garage. On the second wheel blockage I literally had to hammer in a nail to clear the blocked valve.

Believe me, I shook the crap out of the bottle beforehand to disperse the crystals, but a 50% blockage rate isn't good to me.

Pros: When it works, it's a timesaver.

Cons: Beware the blockages.

Easy set-up

Combined with a valve core removal tool, this makes tubeless set up easy and less messy. It injects a measured amount so no wasted sealant on the garage floor. Get it for the toolbox, it's only a couple bucks.

Pros: -aids in tubeless setup.

Cons: -should come with all tubeless kits

Helps avoid unseating tires

Simplifies initial installation and long ter maintenance

If you are not using tubless tires, it can be hard to get the bead to seat/seal the first time you are mounting the tire, and if you break the seal in the future.

Once you get the bead seated, the best way to get the stans in is to use the injector and you wont have the hassle of trying to get the bead to seat again with all the associated mess of the stans pouring out.

Pros: Reduces the mess associated with tires that are difficult to get the bead to seat.

Cons: Adapter tends to remove the valve core of the stans rubber rim strips. Make sure the core has been tightend, and remove the adapter carefully.
