Looks good.

There are a ton of fixed cogs out there. This one is my favorite- I use a 15t cog, so there won't be a whole lot of drillings and whatnot, but the black color looks really great on my bike.

I don't know how many miles I have put on it- but I commute in the rain most of the time, and my fixed gear saw some cross duty as well and I see only minimal markings.



Pros: Durable, cheap and looks good.

Awesome

These are really high quality considered the price but without the loud 'chain eating' noise of something like a Phil Wood. I picked up two different sizes after the first one came in, I'm impressed.

A very decent cog, I have found the durability of this to be slightly less than the Surly even with the coating which is probably more for oxidization protection. The precision is equal to the Surly cog in threads & teeth. I favour the Surly Cog, just a little more than the Soma.

Soma Cog

I've had bad luck with everything I've ever had from Soma. Their quality control seems lacking... of course they don't actually make anything, they just market stuff. But this cog has worked fine so far... so no complaints.

Pros: It's round like it's supposed to be and the threads are precise - some cheap ones are not!!

Cons: None.

So far, so good, fit and finish is great, I expect this to last longer than the flimsy cog that came with my wheelset.
