Tire talc is a must, not baby powder. Your tubes gotta move inside tires, especially latex tubes. Tires are easier to remove and install when you're on the road or in the shop, with talc. I never need tire irons because of talc and my tubes don't get stuck to tire casings - important if you have patched tubes.

Also, dust your spare tubes with this and put them in ziplock bags.

Pros: Faster repairs, better handling and lower rolling resistance. You wont hold up your smart friends during road repairs fiddling with tire levers.

A can of this lasts for years.

Cons: Not enough people know about talc. It might be a bit messy.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do

I finally broke down and bought some of this because I was having issues with older tubes (without any talc), new tires and mounting them on a pair of old Mavic UST rims. Plus I always wanted some.

Works exactly as expected. Now I never will need to buy tire talc again.

I use this stuff outside and not in the garage, it is very fine and impossible to sweep up.

Pros: Helps prevent a lot of potential issues with sticky tubes/tires.
When you buy this much you can slather your tubes to your heart's content.

Cons: I really didn't need this much.
