K-Edge Chain Deflector/Catcher

I have one on every one one of my bikes as they work awesome. They can be a bit of a pain to set up though as a single bolt holds the derailleur in place and the chain catcher so you have to align both perfectly at the same time. Putting a penny between the catcher and big chain ring helps to adjust it right.

best deflector ever.

These deflectors are a must for a lot of carbon frames with funky tube shapes that don't allow a tube clamp.

Not terribly difficult to set-up, but tricky. Once you get your derailleur positioned correctly, just torque the mounting bolt enough to prevent movement and then move the defector into place. Recheck the derailleur position and adjust as necessary, then torque to spec.

Pros: Works great. Cool colors. Looks PRO.

Cons: Perhaps slightly less PRO than the Rotor catcher.

Get these if any of the following apply:
1) you race your bike
2) you have an expensive (carbon) frame
3) you hate getting your hands dirty when grabbing a lubed chain mid-ride to put it back on the chainrings.

These are a little tricky to setup (be careful--the time spent here will pay off later), but when they save you from dropping a chain you'll be thankful.

They come in many colors to match whatever bike you have. The braze-on kit includes a long bolt that you'll need to mount both chain catcher and FD.

Pros: Light, Many color options, Just works

Cons: Tough to setup.

Lightweigth Security

Even the most well tuned drivetrains drop once in a while and this is a little lightweight security to ensure that never happens. Can be a bit tricky to install depending on what your braze-on looks like. Yes I would buy this product again and have.

Great product that is a must for any serious hill climber.
Looks great on the bike and if you match the color to the bike and/or componets it virtually disappears. If however you want blink there are colors to chose from that will make it stand out on any bike.
Not that dropped chains were ever a factor but now there is no need to think about one.

Pros: Great looking and comes with a couple bolts of various length to fit all applications.

Cons: Expensive and a little tricky to get just right.

Looks great on your bike to add that blink factor to it. No more drop chains anymore, at least for me. Confidence booster for those who ever dropped chain on the climbs cause they can now mesh without worrying about dropping chain.

Awesome little device

Looks good, weighs nothing, and if you install this properly you will never, ever drop a chain again (at least to the inside), no matter what kind of awful roads you ride on. I'm in love.

Pros: Works perfectly and looks great. Simple to install, at least on my frame.

Cons: Super expensive, but then again, downshifting under power with complete confidence on awful unpaved roads might well be priceless.

K-Edge Chain Catcher

Ingenious design and looks great. I'm a little uneasy about my carbon derailleur hanger if my chain catches on my K-Edge!

Pros: No more dropped chain

Cons: Easy to install, but tricky to adjust
