Pasellence!

I had bought these tires from the real world Universal Cycles in Portland, Oregon. It was a surreal experience not seeing links to where I wanted to go, but the staff were thoroughly helpful to my needs. So, I was browsing around and came upon these Pasela's but instead of all black as pictured above, they were gum wall which were sight for my hipster eye. I bought the 700 x 35c 'cause when I decide to ride my adventure bike I want that extra cushy. I through the rubbers onto my roadgraveltouring bike and have been riding them for what is going to be 2 years and close to a few hundred miles if not a thousand but I don't exactly know since I don't ride with Garmin. But nonetheless, these tires have done dirt rides, pavement rides, and the now infamous gravel rides, and they've done all these multi-terrains with excellent grip and durability. Oh! I forgot to mention the aesthetics! So, I ride a white Mai steel road bike? I've since forgotten the label but I'll consult the all mighty bicycle industry to see what exactly am I riding on. But besides that, they give my bike that classy gleaming steel road bike look like the days of old. So, they're durable, classy, and do well with many types of terrains.

Pros: Durable, long lasting, grippy, all-terrain, Made In Japan

Cons: Naan

Not a good tire!

I bought these for urban commuting. Initially they were fine, but then I started getting flats. Lots of flats! It was rediculous, even 3 in one day once!
The casing is so thin that anything can puncture your tire right through the tread. I switched to some Clement's and have not had a single flat in a very long time. Sure these are inexpensive, but be warned about the punctures!

Pros: cost

Cons: thin material punctures easily

Disappointing

Boght 2 sets of these in 25c - one setfor my All City commuter and one set for my wife's road bike. First impressions were good but that was about it.

First installed on TB14 rims on my All City. Install sucked - suuuuper tight trying to get the wire bead onto the rim. Enough so that the tire started peeling tiny chunks of rubber off on the edge as it passed over the edge of the rim installing it with a standard plastic tire lever. Got it on, inflated and just rode them after that. Did great for a few hundred miles...

Fast forward a few weeks to yesterday. I am riding home from work and suddenly hear a loud pop/crack and instant flat. Inspect the tire and find about an inch wide spot where the sidewall blew completely out. Got home and took the tire off. I found multiple spots where the wire bead had completely separated from the tire. Apparentlythe blowout I had was a spot that finally had enough and suddenly let go, blowing out the side of the tire and instantly slicing open the tube from the wire bead. Both tires are now going in the garbage.

Installed on my wife's Mavic open pro wheels was fine and the wire bead rolled on relatively normal with my tire lever. However she's now had about 5 flats within a few hundred miles. Each time the tire has been removed and reinstalled to fix it I started to notice the same kinda chunks of rubber easily tearing off the edge of the tire at the bead, where the steel bead is bonded in. This was happening just from using a standard plastic tire lever - chunks of rubber Peeling off from the tire lever passing over it. Those tires will be hitting the gargabe can in short order too.

I run Panaracer Pasela Tourguards on another buke of mine and have zero complaints. They are great. My experience with these Panaracers though... Not so much.

Pros: Cheap, light-ish, come in gumwall.

Cons: Poorly bonded steel bead, cheap.
