The best for climbing and riding all day
This cassette is of the old design, which are individual gears bolted together with the spacers. They tend to mar the hub body, but will not ruin it if care is taken. Aluminum hubs fair the worse but steel hubs only suffer slight cosmetic damage. If you coat the hub with anti-seize compound(graphite) before installation then cassette removal will be fairly easy. The new design is with spiders which distribute the force and save the hub. The advantage of the old design for me, is that I can take this cassette apart, customize the gears I want and reassemble it with 3 small bolts(tap the last gear to thread the bolts). This save a lot of weight and eliminates the gears I never use.(The wear on the hub is ugly but the hub will stay functional.)
