Gobs of grip and slow spin

I had used other flats prior to these and was disappointed in the overall grip of them especially on technical climbing sections. It seems most people are searching for grip when jumping but that's not usually a problem. These suckers GRIP! The pins have a concave shape on the top and a barrel tapered shape on the ends which grips your shoes like there's no tomorrow. I also like that there's no bulge in the center. On my old pedals I found that the bulge seemed to keep me searching for the right position. On these it's easy to get closer into the cranks and position isn't so vital.
These pedals also spin slowly so you're not gashing up your shins constantly. That' a nice touch. They also feel just right under your feet. Some brands go above and beyond to create strange shapes to stand out but these have the right amount of concave and it cradles your foot comfortably. I wear a size 10 and my feet fit perfectly on the platform. Any bigger of a foot and you might want to go for the larger Scarab model.
Overall, Semenuk hit a homerun when designing these pedals. They grip well, are light, look good and feel comfortable. That's everything I ask for in a flat pedal.

Pros: Gorgeous, lots of grip, light, good value, spin slow

Cons: That increased grip will wear shoes faster
