A Bargan at Twice the Price

I am in total agreement with all the other rave reviews. However I want to expound on just how easy it really is to un-hook this link, by stating that you can do it tool-free under the tension of ANY gear combination! If you can pull one link of slack, you can un-hook this connector, it almost happens automatically. The same for connecting it back up. With a little practice, you can even do it in total darkness!

The Connex uses a unique shape and slot, in conjunction with a unique method of rotating the link into a vertical position, to achieve a totally hassle free operation. Leave it to the Germans.

I first discovered the Connex with my first Wipperman chain and was so amazed, I had to show everyone I knew. Since then I have discovered that they work flawlessly on all my chains from my Sram 990 to my ultra-light hollow-pin slotted KLH. I ride everyday and I have several chains I use in a rotation, so there is always a clean & lubed chain available. I use the same Connex connector for all my chains and I‘m still waiting for it to ware out. I have racked up almost two thousand miles of hard XC and trail riding, without ever a hint of trouble with my Sram X-0 9-speed drivetrain. I will NEVER consider using another Sram or a “Missing link" connector ever again. Not even as a spare, I will always have a spare Connex instead.

As for the cost? I don’t deny -or care- that they cost a bit more. After you try one, you won’t care either!

So to all the reviewers to gripe about the cost, let me ask you this: Isn’t it worth the price of a cup of coffee to save a little frustration? Especially considering that you only pay once and can save that frustration over and over, and over, and over, and over...
