Other Uses For This Mount Adapter
This adapter can be used to mount any small object into a standard Garmin twist mount. Use a hack saw to cut off the two tabs, and you have a nice flat surface that can be super-glued or gorilla-glued onto the bottom of the small object. I have one glued to the bottom of a small Bluetooth speaker, and another glued to the bottom of a Christmas tree a few inches tall.Finally !!!
I've been waiting years for such an adapter. I like my 705 but I hate the mount. I've bugged Garmin to make one of these for literally 2+ years, to no avail. Its such an obvious, simple adapter but Garmin had no interest in supplying one; thankfully SRAM stepped in. And SRAM is making it painless at $5.
