Durable solid BB
I bought these four years ago for a year round commuter in Chicago. When first installed they needed a ton of grease and wd-40 to get them to quiet down. But that was only for maybe 2-3 days. After that and ever since, they've been fantastic, and I have no intention of replacing them any time soon. Probably ridden close to 1k miles on them.As the Crank Turns; French Threads
This bottom bracket shell seemed a bit soft. Installing the bottom bracket the drive was scared up by the tool. Asthetics are important to me (yes, I was very careful installing it). I am happy to have a modern sealed bearing in my old Star France, type Lux bike. Both sides are right hand thread and it fit tight enough that I don't belive it will back out. I would give it a 4.5
