Worth the extra $$
I was finishing my build a year ago and I had went over budget so I reconfigured some of my components. The headset was one of them and I thought I was saving a little money by going with a Cane Creek as I have had ok luck with them in the past. All was well until this spring when I noticed that both bearings were rusting really bad. After I took them out within a day of drying out they were totally locked up. I decided after that to drop the $$ on a King and be done with it. King products have always done me well. There is a noticeable difference in rolling resistance and smoothness of the bearings between the two mfg's. If you can swing the price, this headset will outlast your bike!
