I just built a set of wheels with these rims, Wheelsmith DB14 spokes and 105 hubs, and I'm very happy with the results.
These rims were exceptionally easy to work with. They were round and true when I picked them up at the store, and they pretty much stayed that way through the wheel building process. They required much less work to true than other rims I've used. (FWIW, I'm just a hobby builder and this was, I think, my 10th pair of wheels.)
The wheels are also very nice looking and have a quality feel to them. I would rate them above some rims that cost twice as much. The seam is visible on the black part of the rim, but I can't feel it on the braking surface. There was no pronounced hop at the seam and the it doesn't cause the rim to be especially heavy there as I've noticed with some other rims.
One of the rims I bought weighed in at 462 grams and the other at 475, so a touch over the advertised weight but within a reasonable margin of error. You can buy lighter rims (at twice the cost) but I feel like this is a very good weight for a sturdy rim.
I'm not using these tubeless. I used cloth rim tape. The shallow well needed to make the rims tubeless ready can make tires harder to mount if you are using tubes. I had a little trouble with a set of folding Conti GP 4 Seasons, but the Kool Stop tire bead jack got them on without too much drama.Would Buy Again:
