Very good, but...

Great pedals. Very "grippy" with FiveTen shoes. The pins are even a bit too long in my opinion but there is a small bag of tiny washers included so you can set back the pins a bit, if you like.

However, what you actually get is not what is shown here. The picture shows the old pedal (from 2010) that was lighter (about 350g) but also much weaker. If you search the net you can find pictures of broken pedal cages of 2010 SUB4s. The new 2014 model weighs around 410g and has a different pedal cage. It's like been redesigned to strengthen the platforms.

The description is inaccurate. Please correct it.

Pros: - relatively light
- wide
- great foot support
- very "grippy"
- low profile
- washers included to adjust pin heights
- pins are replaceable with a hex key

Cons: - heavier than shown here by about 60grams (inaccurate description)

Blackspire Sub 4

Made in Canada. What more can I say? Ok lots. Plenty other companies making pedals for the "under one pound per pair" catagory are barely squeaking by in their claims. Not only are these babies well under 400 grams, but they're make by our hairy neighbors to the north and come in every color of the rainbow. They even offer two different hues of green!

Pros: Made locally (North America), light, beautiful, work well, affordable

Cons: Too affordable...everyone else will eventually have a pair too.
