Salsa CroMoto Grande Rigid 29er Fork

Bought this fork for a commuter build, I wish it was shorter axle to crown, somewhere around 410 to 425mm. I notice the fork flexes a lot when braking. In all fairness, I'm 230lbs. and use a 200mm. front disc brake. I would need a 300mm. steerer tube then too. It's difficult to find parts for big and tall!

Pros: Quality construction

Cons: Flexes a lot while braking

This fork rules!

Compared to my previous Karate Monkey fork, this is soooo much smoother riding. The KM fork is fine for 250 pounders, but my 170lb always took a thrashing when riding it.

Pros: Decent weight (for steel), decent price, tough as nails, smoooooth ride.

Cons: A lot heavier than a carbon fork. But that's the price you pay for a fork you can beat on.
