Just wanted to pass on a huge thanks for the great customer service I received. You guys shipped out an el mariachi to me back in February which I'm now riding in Mongolia. Everything arrived just in time for my flight. The tuning and build quality were great and the packing job survived the trip around the world. This bike is an incredible do-everything machine. This is unrelated to bike parts. I just read that Universal Cycles has signed on to be a major sponsor of this year's Sunday Parkways in Portland, OR. This is one of the best things our city has ever done and brings so much happiness to so many people. We were so disappointed when the City said it might not happen this year because of lack of funding, and so I just wanted to tell you how much my family and I appreciate you guys stepping up as sponsors. Just wanted to drop you guys a line and let you know how awesome it is dealing with you! Since 2007, I have spent close to $2500.00 on parts from you guys and it has been worth every penny.
Your $2.99 pick a product shipping rate has helped me out many a time when I need just that one little item to complete a build and don't want to pay a high shipping cost.
Your prices are not always the lowest, but you do offer the instant price match which I have used and probably need to use more often.
You are my top goto site when I need to order most any bike part. The fact that you actually stock what you list on your web site is a very good thing. Not more than once, I have been temped away by a lower price only to find out the other online retailer doesn't actually have the part in stock.
You guys ship in a very expedient manner. Usually less than 24 hours after I place an order. That is important to me because I don't like to wait for parts to complete a build.
Now I am not a bike shop, just your regular cycling nut who loves to build and ride bikes. Keep up the great work and please pass this message on to your entire team. They deserve to know that all of there effort do get noticed and are very appreciated by your customers.

Whew, Universal cycles, you are great. Just wanted you to know that. I've been buying stuff from y'all for years [...] I just wanted to comment on your 'pick an item shipping' option. $3 to ship a single item. It's fantastic. It allows you to recoup a bit of the cost of the Free Shipping that has become so popular lately, basically, splitting it. I suspect you still lose a bit in it, but not as much. And that frees you to increase the order minimum for free shipping to a level where it's more worthwhile. Meanwhile, folks like myself who only need one little thing but don't want to spend $10 to ship it find it much easier to click, SUBMIT ORDER. Whoever formulated that option deserves a bonus. Cheers,

Hey Universal "Powers that Be" --
You man Mark helped me out immensely today. He easily could have thrown down a sale with a bunch of bs info (tricky questions about road bike cockpit geometry and switching to shallow drop bars) but steered me from impulse to reason. I'm going to get a proper bike fit from my LBS and then order the right size cockpit (bars/stem) from you guys.
Anyways, just wanted to put it into the system that he was diligent, knowledgeable and put my experience way over the sale. I say that's good business and puts Universal at the top of my mail order sources. This is the kind of difference we consumers trust when we find we might be able to get a certain product for X bucks less from "nobody bike shop online." I would prefer to support my LBS always but they cannot price compete with volume sales. I seek to split the difference. They are good cats but unless they can come close to your prices, I simply (as a fulltime graduate student) cannot afford their std prices.
Regardless of that, the take home is: Mark doing good work for you all.
