Solid Reliable & Attractive Seat Post
I bought this to replace a Kalloy seat post that came on my new bike. This seat post is relatively light, attractive (as a post can be) with gold colored mounting bolts. When tightened to spec holds the saddle firmly without issue. Thomson logo is present and somewhat large but is t too distracting.The Occam's razor of seatpost solutions
Simple & time tested, with nothing to change or improve upon - ever. I'm a skeptic on high-dollar anything. There was a time when this post cost more than most any other; not the case in our carbon-fiber filled catalogs. I put this post & Thomson stem on 3 of my 4 bikes, even if the budget didn't allow for it originally. It's so easy to set & forget; absolutely rock solid. The superior ribbed finish rules! And, the form and function factor perfected with this part. The only real doubt in selecting this post: Black or silver.
