55mm Rim Tape

I would not recommend this tape. I purchased the 55mm rim tape for my 70mm rim. I cleaned the surface well with alcohol and applied the tape carefully. It is not very flexible so was difficult to get down without wrinkles. After installing the tape I reinstalled the tubes to use them to press the tape down evenly because there were areas that kept bubbling up. I then removed the tubes and inspected the tape. I could still see bubbles where the mold lines of my whiskey rims were manufactured. Of two rims only one sealed well enough to complete a ride. Re doing the front rim with different method. Would have expected better quality from Whiskey Rims and Tape.

Pros: none

Cons: doesn't stick, doesn't stretch.

Only 55mm wide!

This tape is just fine, except the roll that is clearly labeled as 70mm is only 55mm. If 55mm fits your needs this tape will be great, if you need 70 then it's pretty much worthless.

Cons: Narrower than advertised
