Constructed with a waterproof membrane and rubberized textile shell that extends above the ankle, the Fasterkatt delivers unrivaled weather protection in the wettest and muddiest of conditions.

Features: Waterproof-breathable membrane for moisture control, above-ankle height for water splash protection, water-resistant zipper, available 3-bolt road outsoles.
Upper: Rubberized textile, stretch poly, fleece, suede microfiber, durable polyurethane mudguard
Insole: Waffled foam to trap heat, reflective aluminum, wool felt, sculpted for arch support
Outsole: 2-Bolt MTB Version: Real rubber, anti-slip micro-glass filament lugs, 2-bolt MTB cleat compatible; 3-Bolt ROAD Version: Fiberglass-injected, high-impact nylon outsole.
Midsole: Fiberglass-injected nylon with high impact resistance
Closure: Cord lace inner boot closure, durable #8 YKK Aquaguard coil zipper (new for 2015).

Great fit but poor manufacturing or materials

These are very comfortable and very waterproof.

But...

After only one week: the very specialized laces broke after only a couple rides. UC took good care and replaced them in-store (it was a known problem).

After only one more week: the zipper broke on one boot. UC traded me for a new pair.

After only two rides: second pair had laces fail (as before) *and* zipper fail. UC took them back.

Maybe I was an outlier, but beware.

Pros: Comfortable, waterproof, stylish, warm...pretty much all the good things. And Universal Cycles are great people.

Cons: Couldn't wear them a week without a failure.

Would Buy Again: No
