No dropped chains

I've had this chainring for a little under 2 weeks but I've put about 50 miles on the ring so far. I've been running it with no chain guide. No dropped chains so far. I live in, rock and root infested, Connecticut and use it on a fully rigid fat bike. My chainline was pretty far off the first ride and when I backpedaled, the chain would shift down the cassette. Not the chainrings fault. If that combination doesn't knock the chain off I doubt anything will.

Race Face Narrow Wide Chainrings

The ring that really started it all. Such an amazing ring that just works. Not really much to say that you shouldn't already know.

Pros: RaceFace quality. Narrow wide system. Tooth count options. Colors!

Cons: Some will say not oval, I don't.

Great buy

Great value, solid, lightweight and looks nice. No dropped chains so far with a top guide and non clutch rear derailleur. It works so well I may not even upgrade to clutch style.

Pros: Light holds chain looks great

Cons: Should have an option to purchase with short bolts or spacers

Good Chainring for a Tinkerer

I have a Vassago Jabberwocky, which is SS only that I wanted to convert to some city/commuting use, as well as trail. My general goal was to not spin out on the downhills too badly, but still be able to get back up with with a couple full panniers.

The chainring is awesome because all I had to get was a chainring and no retention devices, make the 1x9 set up cheaper and lighter and still able to go offroad with no dropped chains (so far!)

And it is blue.

Pros: Color palette, cost, practicality and function

Cons: I am not sure, but I don't think I can wear it down and then reverse it and continue to have good performance.

Very well made

Excellent quality, bolted right up to my SLX crank. This ring has built in tabs that align the ring perfectly. Cant believe I waited so long to go 1X.

Pros: Lost 1.5 lbs from the bike, Pivot Firebird. Simple and works with my Stinger chain guide to get the chain up and out of the way.

Cons: None yet

Review for wide/narrow ring 30 teeth. Fits Shimano 104 BCD perfectly & the build in bolts are a huge convenience! Ring works perfect with SRAM XX1 chain & I don't any difference in performance, not dropping, no noise etc vs SRAM XX1 rings. Don't know about durability yet. Just for the 30 teeth gearing alone this is worth it. Product of the year!

Pros: Fantastic product

Cons: None

The best option for 1x

I just ditched a chainguide and simple single-speed chainring for this. I've only a couple of rides but they were are on the rootiest, rockiest trail around and the chain never budged. This was with a 1x9 setup and a short cage rear derailluer (no clutch). Lighter setup than a guide and cleaner looks, too.

Pros: Works as advertised
If chain does drop, easier to remount than with a guide
Looks good

Traildog

Outstanding. Got the 30t for the wifes 29er. No guide and no chain drop. Works great! Put a 34t on my sons bike, same results.

Pros: Nice product, nice machining.
