Handy problem solvers
These things are pretty useful! I run a NuVinci hub on a Long Haul Trucker, so there's a lot of cable housing to run. Two shifter cables have to run all the way from the handlebars to the hub, and these cable guides helped a lot with taming this setup last time I replaced the cables and housings. The guide bases are made of thin metal (aluminum, I think) that can be bent to match the contours of your frame better, ensuring that the included double-sided tape sticks solidly. The upper part is just a piece of plastic that snaps onto the base. When I saw this I wondered if it would really hold, but they actually latch on pretty strongly. I haven't had any issues with the base coming unstuck or the curved piece coming off the base in a year of use.
