I had carried one of these for a couple of years, and had the occasion to use it today for the first time. It was incredible. I had a spoke break on a hill (out of the saddle), on rough road, on the non-drive side of the rear wheel. I used the Fiberfix replacement spoke at mile 65, and finished my 96 mile ride without further problems. Note: loosen the surrounding opposite side spokes before using the replacement. This allows for enough thread length to tighten appropiately. Then re-tighten the other spokes and true as best you can. Carry one at all times, it's worth the cost and weight.
