I got these to replace riveted metal brake cable guides on a Cannondale top tube. The originals failed as rivets sheared off over time due to torque from cable flex. These were the closest I could find(other than having parts shipped from Romania) and I had high hopes. I used solvent to clean up the frame & these lasted for about a year before the front adhesive pad separated & the guide came off. Then the rear & finally the middle.. One came off the frame completely , but the other two had the adhesive pads separate- there's now adhesive remnants on the guides & the frame. Problem Solvers: Use a more weather/UV-resistant adhesive pad medium? Thanks!!
