I agree with the 40yr shop guy
These were great.... for the first 20 cuts or so. After that, the stray wires make threading a nightmare. I don't know of a better set of wire cutters, I use industrial pairs, but eventually they all leave strays.you need it, after using it dikes seem stupid for this purpose
decent, used to use diagonal cutters till i bought a pair these (most of the competitors are pretty good too)Frustrating
As a bike mechanic for 40 years, I'm disappointed with this tool. It does not cut cables cleanly, and you typically have to struggle with the last strand or two. The resulting, imperfect cut can be very hard to thread through ferrules and housings, requiring you to re-cut, hoping that one works. The new improved model is little better than the previous one. I guess I'll have to splurge and the get a "real" shop-quality pair. Everything else by Park has been Great. I don't understand why they can't get this one right. Or I just got lemons twice in a row.
