Fabulous Tire!

This was the third tire I tried for my MTB and I was getting angry trying to find a reasonably priced tire that would hold up more than a year. I am very happy with them:

a) Size is accurate - inflated, on the bike they are 1.971 inches.
b) I have had zero flats in about 15 months (at 5000 mi/yr)
c) At 15 months, the rear tire just barely starting to show some wear (only noticeable when compared to the front).
d) They handle well and corner well
e) Just enough inverted tread for occasional loose gravel or sandy stretches.

The only outstanding question I have is how the bead holds up (we had a mild winter that I did not take them off for winter tires this year). Unlike some others they are large enough that you do not tear up the bead putting them on. They are flat resistant, so that reduces the need to take them off.

Finally, they have been around a long time and are popular, so you can be halfway sure to be able to get a matching replacement if one should be damaged.

Pros: Correct size,
DURABLE,
wide inflation range (35-65)

Cons: None to date

I've had these on my commuter bike for over two years, and they are still going strong. IMO these are the best urban fat tires - enough tread that you can handle some adverse conditions, but not so much that it slows you down. Even "wet leaf season" isn't so bad with these.

Great long lasting tire. I had the on my bike since 2005 and put 1000's of miles on them. Going to buy 2 more!! Soon? just waiting for them to wear out

Pros: Rolls very fast. Good for dirt but not for loose gravel.

Cons: After going on 6 years the Sidewalls are showing there age

Good tire for urban riding and bike paths. Offers plenty of volume and an inverted tread which rolls fast yet provides ample traction.

Pros: Lots of volume, rolls fast, inverted tread design offers good traction.

Cons: None
