Emergency Pump
This is exaclty what I was looking for. It's cheap and small and great for emergencies.
Pros: pric, size
Cons: takes a lot of work to pump up a tire, but that's to be expected in an emergency pump

Yes No Report as InappropriateThis pump is tiny! At about 8 inches long, it fits in my triangle bag and even one of my larger under-seat wedge bags. And it works surprisingly well for such a little gadget. Like all miniature pumps, it is a little awkward to use and does take a lot of pumping to inflate a tire.
It takes a little bit of work to switch it between Schrader and Presta valves -- you unscrew the little plastic lockring, flip around both the valve depressor and the little rubber bushing, then screw the lockring back on. When it's set up for Schrader valves the little rubber dust cover doesn't fit, though.
Pros: Very compact and light
Cons: A little clunky to switch between kinds of valves
Dust cover only fits in Presta setup, so if you have a Schrader bike you'll probably switch before and after each use.
