Not durable I purchased two of these, and like the other review found them heavy and stiff. Also, one of the covers started disintegrating within a year. (The cover was never exposed to direct sunlight.) The other cover is starting to fall apart now, two years in. It's made of a really cheap-feeling woven plastic that starts shedding a weird powdery residue almost immediately.
Avenir makes a really nice nylon cover that is way nicer than this and costs just a little bit more. Universal should carry them instead! Pros: Covers bike Cons: Heavy, stiff, falls apart quickly Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: No Reviewed on: August 07, 2012 Reviewed by: Adrienne A., Cascadia Was this review Helpful? Too thick, too stiff and too bulky for my needs I got this cover hoping I'd be able to carry it while touring to protect my bike at campsites, but it's too bulky and too heavy for that. It's also very stiff and difficult to fold, I wouldn't want to deal with it every day while on the road. However, if you get this with the intentions to store your bike outside of your house for extended periods of time then it should work out great, it appears to be very strong, so it should last. So it's a good product, but doesn't fit my needs. Regardless of my experience then I'm giving it 4 stars, taking one start off because I still think it could have been lighter and more flexible to fit wider variety of purposes.
