Planet Bike Full Coverage Fender 26"

A decent fender for the money.

It is a bit flimsey but works fine for commuting.

I like the full coverage.

No rubbing on canti's or liner pull brakes.

Good coverage, too flimsy

I wanted to like these. They have pretty good coverage, and were easy to install. But they really need a second strut. They wobble around a lot, rub on the tire, and in general just aren't sturdy enough.

There are two really good things about these fenders, and one that's not so good.

The good things are that they are a durable plastic that can absorb a lot of damage before they start to warp, and that the el-cheapo stays that wrap around the outside are /better/ than the internal stays on more expensive plastic fenders (internal stays act as dams, so water builds up inside the fender and spills out right at the level of your feet.)

The bad thing is that the wide ones are kind ugly; a box section is not as attractive as a circular section. But if you're not planning on putting down $100 for a pair of Honjo fenders, these are a wonderful deal even if you discount the looks.

Fit is a problem

The rear fender fits under the v-brakes without rubbing, but not the front. Also, the adjustment does not move very fluidly. I guess they do the job, but I would imagine there are better options

Pros: price

Cons: Adjustability and fit are poor
