Cross Tires Bought these as a cheap way to retrofit a mountain bike into a cross racer for a day. I think they are a little heavy, and don't have the best tread pattern (pick up some mud), but they did their job. Pros: Cross tire for 26" (Rare). Cons: Tightly packed treads, heavy. Okay tire but be careful in the street! These tires are best for light off road use. If you ride on the street with these be careful - the tires have an edge that can catch the end of the asphalt where it meets the gutter or where uneven surfaces meet, which can cause you to fall. Pros: Inexpensive, good traction. Cons: Can be dangerous in certain riding conditions. One of my favorites. Super low rolling resistance but great knobbies on the corners to keep you steady on the dirt. Pros: treads capable of any surface Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: October 28, 2010 Reviewed by: Richard B., New York Was this review Helpful?
