A bit expensive but they have a tendency to last for years. A must have when your time pedals start feeling sloppy. Remember to protect your shoes though.

Was having a hard time with my pedals. I checked the cleats and they were pretty torn up, replaced them and problem solved.

Pros: tough, last a long time even when subjected to lots of portaging over rocks

I really like the way the time cleats engage with the ATAC pedals. Clips in solidly and releases when you need it to and not before.

Pros: Loud click and you know you're engaged.

Cons: None so far.

These are, at least as far as I know, the only cleats available for ATAC pedals, so I can't compare them directly, but what I have noticed is that as far as brass cleats go these are a /lot/ more durable than the brass cleats that come with other clipless systems; I used eggbeaters for a while and was burning through a pair of cleats a month (1500 miles/month), but when I switched over to ATAC the first set of cleats has ended up lasting about 4000 miles so far (they're getting /very/ worn and will soon not have enough material in the front to latch, but it's still 4000 miles so far.)

Going through two sets of pedals a year is much less painful than going through 8 sets of pedals a year, and it's nice to get the comfort of clipless pedals without having to spend a kings ransom in consumables.

Been using Time since 1999. Excellent pedals. If your buying cleats you have the pedals so you know. Replace these as they wear out over time and walking.

Pros: Simple replacement and pedals have a new feel.

Cons: Price. If you cycle often you could be replacing yearly.

Time Cleat for ATAC Pedals

I've used at least four different permutations of the Time ATAC Pedal since 2001 when I abandoned Shimano SPD. At that time, mud or snow would easily defeat SPD pedals by clogging them. Time ATAC were superior in any sloppy conditions. Since 2001, the ATAC platform has improved such that every issue I ever saw (breakage of top cover plates, excessive wear of retention springs, lack of tension adjustability) has been corrected and improved in the latest iterations. (All the flavors of Time ATAC XS pedals now seem to have the improvements I note above.)

In recent years, Shimano pedals (PD-M970 and later) have solved most of their own issues and are now at least as good in the slop.

Pros: Made of brass to wear faster than steel retention springs (pedals)
Easy to get in and out of pedal even when filled with goo

Cons: Made of brass and might wear faster than SPD cleats

These are the only cleats that I use, I've got 7 sets of Time ATAC pedals. I usually go through 1 pair or cleats per year.

Pros: Best clip-less pedal system ever.

Cons: They get sloppy when worn.

They work - brass means the cleat wears instead of the pedal. Nice and easy to get in and out with two float settings.

Pros: Work well

Cons: Wear quick - but better that than pedals!

I use these with both the z control and atac pedals and they've worked great so far for commuting, xc, am, and even dh. I've owned them for 10 months now and they only seem slightly worn.

Pros: Work great. Have either difficult or easy angles of release

Cons: Slightly expensive. Wear quicker when walking however they seem to stay tucked closely to the shoe bottom so that they're not exposed much

Works like a charm. They will wear out somewhat fast if you walk in them a lot on the street.

Pros: You can change the angle of release

Cons: Wish the cleats were a little cheaper, but they are still worth it.

As others have stated, these seem to wear quickly if you have to walk on them. Otherwise I like the Time system due to knee float and mud clearance. I have also tried the crank brothers and liked them but chose Time because with the Eggbeaters would sometimes release when I had a pedal strike straight down on a large rock or similar object. The Times have never unintentionally released.

Pros: Works well in muddy Northwest.

Cons: wears quickly if you have to walk a lot.

These cleats work great and sit super low on the shoe. The only thing that I don't like is that you don't have the ability to adjust the angle of the cleat. There are no other choices though if you want to run the ATAC pedal. I haven't found it to be that big of a problem.

Pros: Sits low on the shoe, mates with an awesome pedal system

Cons: You can't adjust the angle

Its good they sell these separate, because the time cleats seem to wear quickly. I like the adjustability of the angle of release option and the overall engagement of the atac pedals. I've been riding these pedals for about 8 years now.

I love crank brothers pedals. I use the eggbeaters and Acid. The cleats are great in as much as they are easy to engage into the pedal, and very easy to clip out of. They last a long time before they need replacing.

Pros: Good engagement, long lasting.

Cons: None.

To put it simply. Time Pedals Rule! I have been using them for 12 years and will probably use them for the next 12.

Pros: the BEST

I much prefer the time attack system to shimano spd's great mud clearing qualities and more float. i have 5 sets of Time pedals now with both of my sons using them.
These cleats work well but can wear a little quickly

Pros: Work well for MTB- seem to not like too much walking on them
Time system is great

Cons: Wear quickly particularly on my sons shoes who races BMX - don't know if it's from too much walking around on them though
A steel option would be nice
i've said I'd buy again and recommend to a fried because it's the only time attac compatible cleat that I know of
