Chris King Headset Spacers are a nice finishing touch to a bicycle build. They are precision cut and look absolutely great.

Chris king headset spacers

Great fit due to the off sizing. 12mm spacer works great for mysetup. No flex like carbon spacers.

They are expensive, but are perfectly machined and match the headset colors. They also come in enough sizes to dial stem height in perfectly.

Pros: Match the headsets perfectly and come in every size you could need

I used these to add some color to my ride. They are a little more expensive than other spacers, but, hey, it's CK quality, they will last forever, and they look really good on my new ride.

Pros: Light, well made, look great.

Cons: Really expensive for a little ring of alu.

Yup, worth it.

These are far superior than a typical generic spacer, which is due to tight machining tolerances. They slide very snugly over your steer tube, leaving very little slop between the ID of the spacer and the steerer tube.

I think that a lot of steerer breakage issues are due to slop spacer/steerer tube tolerance stackup, leading to stress zones. We've all seen how cheap spacers fit on a steerer, they clang. Even using two spacers mean 4 different flatness tolerances and two ID tolerances. That's why I always go with the best machined stems and spacers I can buy. IME, Thomson and Ritchey stems are good, Easton not so much.

I use the CK spacers on an aluminum steerer. But for a carbon steerer I'd use the cane creek carbon spacers (which are very nice) because I don't like an edge of a relatively hard material (alum) stressing a softer one (carbon). So ideally a carbon steerer would have a carbon headset dust cap, carbon spacers, and carbon stem.

What you need for you CK headset

These are the spacers you need to match up with you CK headset. They are better made then any other aluminum spacer and are made to higher tolerances. They are also thicker then other spacers. In my opinion, if you spent the money on a CK headset, then you should spend the money on these spacers.

chris king what else is there to say

perfect anodization, clean, super tight tolerances. if you like their hubs and headsets, these are the perfect match. i like the fact they dont have logos pasted all over them, but you know they are chris kings because they almost glow.

Pros: consistently perfect (ive had carbon spacers that were lopsided, uneven, and just sloppy).

Cons: pricey for what they are, but do you like bikes or do you love bikes. these are for the latter.

Chris King bling

Quality product with the colors and precision that you expect from CK. Yes, you're going to pay more for a spacer made in Asia but these are going to fit, fit right and are made in the USA. Plus they'll match your King headset, bottom bracket and hubs.

Chris King Headset Spacers

Strong, exact fit, aluminum headset spacers that are matched to Chris King anodized colors.

Pros: Stronger than carbon fiber, tight machining tolerances, usually match exactly to Chris King headset colors. Great way to add some color with a quality piece.

Cons: One out of 4 pieces I purchased had to be returned due to color not matching. A little heavier than carbon fiber, expensive.

Your paying for a name

Okay, lets be real for a second. A spacer is a spacer and Chris Kings spacers are no better then anything made in Asia. This is a huge amount of money for just a small ring of metal. The only thing that CK. has going for it is that it comes in lots of colors. No one else has pink that I have found and I have been looking high and low. Trust.

Chris King has a good reputation for quality parts and good engineering. I was looking for a spacer(s) to go ontop of my Chris King headset. I looked at the carbon ones but I found some reviews that spoke about carbon fiber not having good compression qualities. These spacers are light weight and you can match the color or your headset.

Pros: Color match to your headset, lightweight

Awesome way to customize your bike in terms of color and height of headset spacer stack. Flawless finish.
