Dicta Single Freewheel

This is a cheap way to get a freewheel installed. An excellent choice for the rider who won't be logging huge miles, or is looking for something to chew up in the salty winter season.

Pros: Acceptable fit and finish, although the bearings do feel a bit rough.

Cons: Reports are that longevity is poor (but I haven't worn mine out yet...)

It worked

I had one of these come with my bike, at least 2k miles on one, no problems.
It does feel a little cheap, and louder than my other freewheels.
Only reason I replaced is because it was a 17T and bought a 18T.

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Made in Taiwan, slightly louder than I'd like.

Super cheap, but works. It'll only last you so many miles. So if it's going on a bike you ride a lot, get an ENO.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Doesn't last long
Doesn't like a lot of stress

Dicta 16/18t

Works as described. Somewhat noisy but don't mined it.

In order to remove from White Industries SS hub with Park Tool 6, had to remove hub outer shaft. One extra step and required two 15mm pedal wrenches.

Pros: Works fine, low cost.

Cons: None

cheap, Dicta BMX freewheels

The freewheels are standard BMX fare, rough bearings, cheaply made, but inexpensive as well. Similar to ACS Claws freewheels. You have to shell out big bucks for Surly ENO freewheels if you want quality. These work fine depending on your usage and expectations.

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Bearings are a little rough.

Loud, Loud, Loud

The ratcheting mechanism on this bad boy is loud. I don't think you can really expect much else though from a $9 freewheel. It works though, which is what's important, just don't plan on sneaking up on anyone unless you are pedaling the entire time.

Pros: CHEAP!

Cons: Loud
