Great solution when straddle wire required

I'm using these on my cyclocross bike with Paul Retro brakes. Have worked very well and show no signs of fraying.

Simple but well done

No complaints here. You get a fine straddle wire for your investment! The EZ handle is nice for unhooking your brakes but I would have appreciated the extra length of the 380mm version to give me some more length for experimenting with canti setup.

Pros: Pretty much flawless.

Perfect replacement

Worked great when I needed to replace the straddle cables on my canti brakes. A little on the short side if you are running very wide cantis.

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Might be too short for some applications.

Long enough to set up an extra-steep straddle cable if that's what you want, doesn't seem to fray after cutting (though never a bad idea to "tin" your cable tips with solder), no problems and no complaints.

Very good item! The long cable is tightly braided (twisted) and strong, but is also easy to cut. Plus, the price is right and local stock is plentiful.

Pros: strong, tightly braided cable
easy to cut
good price
very available

Durable cable holds up to frequent wheel removals. Plenty of length for even 2.5 and then some wide tires.

These are durable wires (they are jagwire afterall). The wires seem to pop-out, but after I bent the wire to line up the ball end to sit properly, all was well. Do not fray like cheap wires.

Just like the rest of Jagwire's line up, the straddle wires are great. Do what they need to and hold up to abuse.

These are probably fine for many cantis. I was using them on old Suntour XC Pro brakes, and I found that they tended to pop out of the brake when I released the lever -- really bad! Make sure these work with your calipers.

I like Jagwire cables, they are easily as good as the Campy and Shimano cable they have replaced, they are tightly braided, are easy to cut, and stay together while you work with them.

Pros: Affordable alternative to C & S
I like the handle integrated into the wire

Cons: None

Work perfectly.

As mentioned, these work perfectly with the Wheels Manufacturing Extra Wide Straddle Carriers.

I was finally able to get some power out of my Avid Shorty's.

Pros: Work like they're supposed to.
