The best chain

Been using the Cross Step chain for all my backroad touring adventures this past season. Horrible conditions, big loads, lots of miles. This chain will hold up! The most reliable chain I've ever used. Goes together easily with the "master-link".

Pros: Durable, easy installation, reliable

I broke my last 991 chain so I'm trying the Cross Step. Quality construction.

Good and strong

Without any scientific numbers, the best I can do is say that it seems to have lasted a lot longer than regular chains I have had. I'm 220 and mash my gears, and am pretty rough on chains, so I appreciate it.

Pros: Lasts longer than other chains

Cons: Not for the weight weenies

I've used this chain for over 6 months. I used to be a shimano chain guy. But sram has move in. The power-link is hassle free, making cleanings super easy. And this chain has performed flawlessly under my 220 lbs carcass with no troubles. That's saying something! On this one you pay a little more that a standard chain, but you get what you pay for.

Shifts smoothly, relatively light weight, high quality construction that allows you to get it dirty, clean it, run it dirty... over and over and over. It is much more durable than cheaper options. As good as this chain is, it's still not a Wippermann.

Pros: High quality
Resists corrosion
Durable

Cons: Not cheap

I've had good luck with Sram chains in general. This chain is no exception.
The master link is just super un-Shimano!
I use White Lightning Wax Lube and all the little parts are happy and stay relatively clean.
Sadly it stretches over use like chains do but that's the beast's nature.

Leonardo de Vinci would be proud (or disappointed) to know that his work was still being used, virtually unchanged since, like, forever!

Pros: Reliable & needs no tools to remove.

Cons: Chains, in general, could use an update.

Best Chain Ever

This is the best 9 speed chain I had have. It is light, strong, compatible with Sram and Shimano 9 speed cassettes and really easy to install. Thanks to the Powerlink I needed no tools to install it. To remove it I advice using the Park Tool MLP-1 tool, makes it really easy.

Pros: Light, Strong, High Quality, Highly Compatible and Easy to Install.

Cons: None
