Thomson Topcap

I put this on top of my Renthal stem, and it looks great! It's a very high quality top cap and does its job with no issues at all.

Pros: Looks great, high quality, strong and stiff.

I got the silver topcap, and while it does have something like the ridges you see in the picture of the black model they're so subtle you have to be looking for them. I guess it's a matter of the lighting. The Thomson logo is smaller on mine.

I felt a little silly getting a Thomson topcap because my stem is just a cheap Dimension model, but I wanted a silver topcap and this is what they had in the store. It fits nicely and looks pretty good.

A perfect match for my Thomson stem

I bought a new bike and it had an adjustable stem with a custom cap that offset the angle. I replaced that stem with my bulletproof Thomsom. I was looking for a simple cap that wouldn't break the bank and still look good. This Thomson piece is high quality with top-notch machining and finish.

Pros: High quality, matches my stem.

Cons: None.

Nice Piece

Well, Cane & Chris make decent toppers, but this trumps them & really fits the look of the Thomson stem much better than those provided by the headset manufacturers. Very stout little disk, and more substantial than Cane or Chris.

Thomson cap fits Thomson stem

This is a totally unnecessary piece of equipment. Purely a vanity purchase but it does fit the Thomson X2 stem it rests on more flush than other caps I've used. I didn't like looking at the ugly Cane Creek lizard cap for my 40 series headset so I bought this. It is the 3 logo version. Apparently the 2 logo version is no longer in production which is fine. Easier to install without worrying about aligned logos.

Pros: It fits the Thomson stem flush. It's cheaper than a Chris King top cap. Made in the USA. And is a perfect match to a Thomson stem.

Cons: None really.

Thomson Quality

Got this as a replacement for the top cap coming with my Angleset. Perfect finish as you expect from a Thomson product. Make sure to get the right cap for your stem - Elite stem needs the cap with 2 Thomson logos, X2/X4 the cap with 3 logos.

Pros: Finish & function.

Cons: Nothing.

If you want a top-cap that matches your Thomson stem, you need this. Same quality and machined finish as their stems. Really ties it all together.

I am a huge fan of Thomson products, so having this matching topcap is a no brainer. It's not any better than any other top cap, but I like supporting this company.

ANOTHER GREAT THOMSON Product. This works as well as ANY Stem cap would, but i like Thomson stems so much that i wanted a matching Cap. I'm just loyal that way.

Thomson stem topcap

Hardly an essential item, but a nice touch none the less. Well made and attractive part. Oh what a dilemma if your bike has Chris King parts, plus Thomson parts.. you're going to have to choose a make for the stem topcap!

Pros: High quality, Great looks, Worth the money for a Thomson fan.

Cons: Every headset comes with a top cap already, this one has no technical benefits such as less weight, more convenience, or strength.. it's cosmetic only.
