My wife likes to use this to annoy me, although I'm sure that same sound works great for alerting people you are coming. Also, if you have your bike with this bell on a roof rack and the sun roof open, the wind hitting the bell gives off an "interesting" noise, which took me a while to figure out.
Pros: Does the job with a sense of flair
Cons: bad to give to people who like making noise for fun
