> Forks - MTB Suspension

  • Kashima Coat Stanchions: Buttery-smooth, Genuine Kashima Coat is available only from FOX Racing Shox. Its distinctive gold color is backed by its high performance attributes—properties that provide an exceptionally smooth feel and extreme durability.
  • FIT (FOX Isolated Technology): Air and oil do mix, and in the world of suspension, it degrades performance. Our isolation technology employs a bladder system that simply keeps the oil and air from mixing to provide optimal performance in all riding extremes.
  • CTD (Climb. Trail. Descend.): Climb Mode - The firmest low-speed compression setting is activated for maximum pedaling efficiency. Trail Mode - Moderate low-speed compression setting is activated for an optimal blend of pedaling efficiency and bike control on variable terrain. Descend Mode - Optimized low-speed compression setting for the perfect balance of control and plushness for steep, aggressive descents.
  • Adjustments: Climb/Trail/Descend (3 positions), Trail adjust tuning range (1, 2, 3), Rebound, Air spring pressure

Lightweight and simple to set up.

First Fox Fork I have owned and am impressed with their product. I bought this fork for XC race bike. Fork is superlight and easy to dial in. The CTD is simple to use. I use the Climb and Trail settings 90% of the time. Fork is plush and is a pleasure to ride. I have several hundred miles on the fork and have had no problems.

I wanted a remote lock out feature, but the Fox remote lever is HUGE. It resembles a mini brake lever. So I reluctantly chose this fork instead. I don't miss the remote and have no issues with reaching down to change the CTD dial on top of the crown (similar to other forks I have owned).

Pros: Light - 3 lbs!! Simplicity in set up. CTD is easy to use. Fork sucks up the bumps.

Cons: Fork adjustment may be oversimplifed for the anal retentive mechanic. Fox remote lever is too large.
