Ive used ourys for years on motorcycles, and was stoked to find these in lock on variety, since those are the only grips I will buy these days. Didnt like the endcaps at first but now I do. Wish they included the standard ODI plugs so you could go both ways with it. These are great. Easy on and off. Pros: No need for hairspray. Cons: Clamps are a little hard to get on. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: January 16, 2013 Reviewed by: Ryan K., Pennsylvania Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Nice looking, comfortable grips Pros: They look good Cons: They feel cheap, white ones are very easy to get dirty, but very hard to clean Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: No Reviewed on: December 12, 2012 Reviewed by: Jorge I. Bought these because I was looking for a fatter, cushier grip. Very Happy. Pros: Very comfortable, and comes with a nice bar-end plug. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 30, 2012 Reviewed by: Jon F., Harrisburg, Pa Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Good comfortable grips. Not as soft as the regular, but I prefer the lock-on's ability to resist twisting. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: August 24, 2012 Reviewed by: Daniel, South Dakota Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
hard grips The grips are okay, but they do feel hard and can lead to calluses. I do not like the end caps at all with the screw you have to spin forever to get it to lock. Pros: Like the lock-on ability, easy on and off Cons: Hard feel can lead to calluses on hands Would Buy Again: No Would Recommend: No Reviewed on: July 11, 2012 Reviewed by: James M., North Carolina Was this review Helpful? easy on, easy off, no slip. Having these clamped to your bars makes swapping out shifters and levers a breeze. Plus there's no slippage when you're really yanking on the bars during a climb. Pros: stay in place, makes swapping handlebar components easy Cons: a little tough to snap the metal rings over the plastic. Nice grips My only complaint is the end plugs are completely useless. They won't secure tight enough. I ended up throwing them out. Other than that they really are nice grips. Pros: Easy to install and uninstall. Secure no sliding or twisting. Comfortable and wide. Cons: Lock rings a little hard to put on. End plugs are useless. I used Oury when I raced motocross, so I was stoked to find out they were doing grips for MTB when I got into that. My only gripe with grips: getting them on and off with alcohol, grip glue, or whatever you might use. Problem solved with lock ons. Simple allen wrench screw on each end and they slide right on or off. No more waiting for grip glue to cure. And they're Oury: it's like grabbing a handfull of tacky jello. Pros: Not slip rubber, gel feel absorbs some vibrations, lock on for easy removal, ability to replace the rubber grips only. Cons: Zero. Best grips ever These are THE grips for big mitts. If you are new to lock-ons, the advantages are innumerable, especially if you work on your bike a lot. The other reviewers are correct about these not being as soft as the regular grips, but perhaps that translates to longer life. Pros: Lock-on removability, great ergonomics, great grip factor Cons: i really can not think of a con for these grips, but it would be nice if you could get replacement white grips only. Only Oury for me. The friction grip versions have a noticeably better cushion. For those of us always tinkering and meddling with our bikes, this is by far the better option. Otherwise, stick with the cheaper version. Pros: Ease of install, removal. Compatible with ODI lockrings for option bling. Cons: Not as much cushion as the cheaper version. Gold standard for MTB grips Comfortable, nice grip, won't slip or twist. The lock-on feature means no more alcohol, glue or hair spray on the bars when installing, no more cursing when trying to remove them. Highly recommended. Lock-on grips from now on period ! Oury lock-on grips are great . This is my first pair of lock-on grips and I'm never using regular grips again .Gone are the days of twisting and slipping grips.Once installed they stay put and go on/off easily. The large rubber blocks are soft and provide good grip and shock reduction .Getting the lock rings on the grips the first time was a little difficult. The plastic bar plugs that come with the kit don't hold real tight in the bars.I ordered ODI aluminum bar plugs to replace the plastic ones. Pros: comfortable, easy on/off once installed, stays put no slipping or twisting. Cons: hard to get lock clamps onto grips , bars ends in the kit are plastic and dont hold well, might be to large for smaller hands. Best Grips Period! These are the best grips I have found period. They are robust, and comfortable. What else could you want. Pros: Strong, comfortable, best grips ever. Cons: The stupid plastic end caps are pretty chincy and get beaten up quickly. Just like the orginal Oury but lock on so no glue is required to keep them from spinning. Not as soft as the orginal but close. Pros: Doesn't slip Cons: Not as soft Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: December 29, 2011 Reviewed by: Daniel W., Rhode Island Was this review Helpful? Nice rubber on the grips and the screw on bar-end caps are a bonus. My slight complaint is that the grip diameter is a little chunkier than I like for my short fingers. Big grips = more hand fatigue -- not what you want for long downhill runs. On the plus side it provides more shock absorption.

Best compromise I don't like lock-on grips, but I hate loose grips that slide around on the bars. Since it rains for months on end here, lock-ons are a necessary evil in Fall, Winter and Spring. These are the most comfy amongst all the different lock-ons that I have tried so far.
Some people have problems with the lock on collars. I have never had any issue with this. Pros: Comfy. Don't slip in Winter. Cons: Wish they had lock-ons with flanges. Not as comfy as the non-lock-on version of these grips. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 16, 2011 Reviewed by: Chris W, Oregon Was this review Helpful? Good Choice Grippy and comfortable. I have also like the fact that these are a bit larger in diameter than a lot of the super-thin grips that are popular right now. Pros: Grippy & comfortable Cons: One of the end caps fell out on a ride. Maybe I just didn't tighten it enough. so grippy! I replaced my original cannondale urban grips with these and love them. They are a bit wider, considerably thicker, and have a lot more grip.
The thickness of the rubber is nice on MTB trails as it dampens bumps a bit.
I also like that the bar-end is separate from the lock on, so you can replace the end cover separately if you chew it up in a crash and you can run the grips without lock-ons.
The price is reasonable for grips. If you find the Oury design too plain, you might try Lizard Skins instead. They're thinner but have a similar grip. Great for Big Hands Solid, comfortable grip. Ideal for those with larger hands. Perfect blend of firmness and cushion. The channels provide some give, but also channel away mud and muck when the going gets nasty.
I don't use the caps, as I prefer to let my hands slide off the bar ends when working the controls, or on a long climb.
Mounting them is a breeze, just be sure to follow the torque specs if you mount them on carbon bars. Pros: Good for larger hands.
Easton Carbon Bar Approved.
Indestructible.

Grippy grips I like the design of these grips. The blocky design and thickness are just right for controlling the bike on singletrack. There's a reason these have been around for a while, they simply work. The lock-on clamps make these even better. Close to perfection. Pros: -medium sized grip
-block design improves grip Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: June 21, 2011 Reviewed by: Ranier D., Armed Forces Europe, Middle East, Africa, Canada Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate

Best Grips out there Most comfortable grips out there. Using them for years in the slimy, rooty, rocky northeast with no issues. Hold up well, even with the frequent grinding in of mud/dirt from grimy gloves. Hold their tackiness under all but the worst conditions…far longer than other grips I've used. Outfitted on all my bikes from the hardtail XC ride to the FR sled. Pros: Comfy, shock absorbing, don't slime up. Cons: Could be considered heavy by weight weenies. May be a bit large for small hands. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: April 10, 2011 Reviewed by: JJW, WV Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
