Spendy cables worth the money You could use Jagwire cables, or some other off-brand, but Campy is deluxe. They last forever and shift like greased lightning. If you're running Campagnolo components you may as well use their cables too. Pros: Perfect fit, lets you feel like an Italian components elitist, longlasting Cons: expensive Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: February 17, 2012 Reviewed by: Shane W., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Worth the price. Quick shifting and reliable braking. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: February 08, 2012 Reviewed by: Daniel R., Washington Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Campy cables There is something to be said for buying oem cables and housing. I bought these in 2007 and they're still going strong on the road bike.
Sometimes finding campy compatible cables is a pain so I always keep spares.
These really aren't any more than a good set of aftermarket cables and housing, and you know they're going to work. Pros: Last a long time. if you have campy group you need campy cable sets You need this cable sets for your campy group, the size of the hoses are made for exactly insert on the shifters and brake grooves. The brake and shifter cable runs smoothly on the brand hoses. Pros: hoses fits exactly the shifter grooves
cables run smoothly Cons: price, but is campy Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 21, 2011 Reviewed by: Mario C., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Campagnolo full cable set You can tell that this is great quality campy from the time you open the package to when you squeeze the lever. Silky smooth operation. Pros: nice looking cable housing with slick silver stamp. silky operation. minimal stretch Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: November 09, 2011 Reviewed by: Lorne S., Oregon Was this review Helpful? Offers up the best shifting you can achieve with a Campagnolo drive train! The cable set lasts a LONG time and offers the best performance to boot. Pros: Price, performance, durability. Cons: none Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: July 18, 2011 Reviewed by: Dustin R., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
I like these cable and use then all the time. Never had a problem. Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: May 21, 2011 Reviewed by: joon k., California Was this review Helpful? Yes No Report as Inappropriate
Perfect shifts for as long as you can keep the water out. Once a bit of rust sets in on an end of the housing the shifting will go to @#$%. Stay away from rain storms or put a dab of extra grease in the cable ends. I gladly replace the cable set once a year regardless of miles I've ridden or the amout of water I've run into. I have over 70,000 miles on Campy only drive trains and I'm in no hurry to switch. Pros: Campy = set it and forget it. Cons: The clean white Campagnolo logo wears of a bit too easy. May be expensive, but sure do work good. I always use OE cables, and smooth shifting and braking seems to last longer than aftermarket Pros: just plain work Cons: nothing against these but wish we could standardize cables! Expensive but good cables These are very good cables but you pay for the Campagnolo name. There are probably cables out there that work just as well but cheaper. Pros: Nice Cable Set Cons: Expensive Would Buy Again: Yes Would Recommend: Yes Reviewed on: September 18, 2010 Reviewed by: Kevin C., California Was this review Helpful?
